Default Latest Odds with Bookies [ Official ]

Bookies here[ in UK ] are offering:

Bangladesh 13/2 {Sporting Bet ], 6/1 Betfair

Draw 10/3 [ bodog ], 21/20 Betfair

England 13/8 [ Betfred] , 6/4 Betfair

That means England is still favourite to win according to them. I think they are pricing in that Bangladesh cannot take 17 wickets.

It will be interesting what the odds will be tomorrow night.

I would put my money on Bangladesh even now. I put it on before the game started. Just for some background.. I have 100% record in stock market. I never lost till this day.

And I shall not lose again. Bangladesh will win this match or it will be a draw.

Well, I am not into bookies. But 13/2 or 6/1 is extremely generous for a 3 outcome game. Remember no taxes in the UK.

In fact, since I posted, odds on England winning has actually improved !!! The pros seems to be moving in.

I think the odds change as people bet, so it's not surprising that englands odds are improving (ie less money give out per dollar) as most of the ppl betting are probably english and ofcourse they are confident of their win... (and historically speakinng with bd's 2nd innings dismal performance when having 1st inning upper hand -all odds are with england winning).

The ideal transaction would be to buy before the game and sell the odds before BD's second innings as too much uncertainties are ahead. But unfortunately that's not how betting works :p

anyways... all these ppl gonna lose money!! this is gonna be a draw or a win for BD. But ofcourse I am being biased..... Would I put $1000 on BD now - hell NO!! WOuld I put 5 bucks - no because betting is haram and I am a muslim , would i regret not putting money on bd if bd wins - hell no!! I will just laugh at ppl who lost money betting against BD.. muahhaha!!!

Yes it is. What you describe as "selling the odds" we describe as "laying off".

Basically, you bet against your original bet, aiming to come ahead no matter what the result.

And look where that took the US economy

Sounds like another name for credit default swap.

there will be a huge change soon.

anyway the english play and the way they approach i think this game will end up in draw or english win.

england will now score slow and long. they will slowly like to build a big innings playing today and tomorrow. if they bat past tomorrow tea.. they will get 600+ and then bd with 3-4 sessions in hand and 200 deficit dont have enough time to enforce a win.

but if england can us out quickly then they can win.

thats the way the british are gonna plan i think. play safe and make sure u dont loose.

Bookies here[ in UK ] are offering on Monday night:

Bangladesh 22/1 [bet365 ], 24/1 Betfair

Bangladesh 13/2 {Sporting Bet ], 6/1 Betfair yesterday

Draw 11/8 [ skybet ], 6/5 Betfair

Draw 10/3 [ bodog ], 21/20 Betfair yesterday

England 5/6[ CoralBetfred] , 10/11 Betfair

England 13/8 [ Betfred ] , 6/4 Betfair yesterday

That means England is now odds-on favourite to win. I think they are pricing in that Bangladesh will revert to type and in any event does not have the resources to bowl England out in less than a day on this wicket.

Bangladesh at 24/1 is very tasty considering the sides are virtually equal currently and England will bat in the 4th innings.Had it been any other team, this would have been unthinkable.

Even a draw has lengthened slightly. Very odd !! Do they really think that the chances of a draw is less likely ? Of course with what has been going on, who can tell.

Should the ICC Anti-Corruption unit be limited only to players ? After all others can also influence the game.

It will be interesting what the odds will be tomorrow night.

Draw 11/8

6/5 Betfair
11/8: If you bet 100 your winnings would be 137 so 137 (winnings) + 100 (Wager) = 237 Dollars

I would get on that bodog 10/3 for a Draw result

Imtiazk,

If you're implying the umpires have been corrupted, I wouldnt even go there.

Firstly, during the last corruption scandals, there wasnt a hint of a rumour of a story about an umpire being got at.

Secondly, you could have made a shitload more money as an umpire backing Bangladesh, and then putting those decisions the other way. Bought umpires dont favour short-priced favorites, thats all I'm saying.
