Great job by bd helped by some loose batting .. we need to finish it quickly. No tuktuk and getting bogged down.

U are right nrr will play at the end.

157 is the target then. Have to make a good start as Afghanistan has excellent spinners who can make it difficult for Bangladesh.

No way in hell afghan defending this. That would be shameful. I expect game done by 30 overs. Need to finish it like a tmchampion team.. meaning top 3 batsman job.

That was some village level batting. If we don't lose wkts in the 1st 10, we can finish the game in 30 overs

Liton, Tamim, Shanto and Miraz should see off this total.

Ngl was super skeptical putting Afg into bat on this flat pitch with how good their openers are and to their credit they were batting pretty good first PP.

I was super happy with us taking the field. Helped calm the nerves for our players. Also there was early morning moisture on the wkt and although we didn't capitalize, it was the right call imo

Tanzid currently looks like a walking wicket. Aggressive is good but slashing away from body, walking out of crease and missing... I mean don't look so good ..

Liton on other hand ..composed. ✋️

Tamim Jr looks nervous. If he can get to 20, his nerves will settle. Now playing a lot of loose shots

That's very poor running. Poor start of WC for Tamim

Horrible batting in this pitch Afghan bowlers are good no doubt but chasing this target and losing these wickets before 10 overs were not necessary. Our batting needs to be fixed asap,

Miraz got two lives. This is poor batting from BD. We won't be able to chase 280-300+ score with this sort of batting. Hoping these two can carry on at least another 10 overs

Those were not easy chances. Miraz being flexible to bat at 3 or 4 is a game changing move for us. Of course, this is done mainly due to top order collapse we consistently see.

Miraz did great I thought. Will probably suffer against better fast bowling though. But it was the right decision to put him at 3 or 4 against afghan

Good win! Could have scored faster to increase NRR, but in the end a convincing win to start the WC.

Good job from the bowlers. Batting looked shaky as always. Tanzid looks unsettled when he can't get those boundaries.

Doing great at the moment. He is getting good amount of time in the middle. He needs to step up to fill the space that will be vacant soon when Shakib retires.
