Easy win. First ever ODI for BD in Sylhet and it's Mortazas 200th for BD. Comfortable win.

I won't play Imrul since he struggles away from home. Tamim's partner should be Liton followed by Sarker because Liton and Sarker and practically the same, and one of them will bound to play that blinder of an innings. Shai Hope is a terrific prospect. He's the real deal.

Congrats BD. Great series win. Really wanted a Banglawash though. We just messed it up in the 2nd match

Not sure if Liton and sarker are practically same. Sarker is a proven performer against quality bowling (pak, south africa) and in opening slot. Also he did well as 1 down when first wicket fell cheaply effectly playing early. Liton is good at pacing his innings starting slow and then more attacking later. sarker just can start from ball 1. Liton still has competetion if he continues to perform way below his talent.

I prefer Tamim sarker open and maybe liton can come 1 down. And ofcourse sarker should never play lower.

Tamim Sarker is such a beutiful opening pair. Watch those 2015 clips of them in youtube. Amazing.

Congrats BD.

A powerhouse in this format.

We specifically don't have any sort of leader in our team. Rudderless. No head coach and our main captain got injured.

The new coach should have a full plate when he comes in. Perhaps different captains in different formats. There is really not a core group of players. One guy steps up, and the others are like house of cards.

Oh well...

I was telling my Bajan colleague this morning how there are a few decent players in the WI side now. Hope, Hetmyar, Bishoo and Thomas seem good.

I think with time they will come good.

One thing that doesn’t help are that games in winter for us is dew factor I think.

Who ever bats second tends to get a bit more advantage.

Congratulations to the tigers , MAsh and Rhodes.
Well played, Miraz, SS & Tamim.
Excellent stuff from Shai Hope shei asha
SS needs to play fewer shots in the air though.
Imrul I feel was quite unlucky, the wicket was good, no Ocean, no big target, ideal situation for a batsman which was very well capitalized by TI & SS.
Liton once again threw it away, never looks stable this boy.
I feel bad for Rubel & Imrul, specially Imrul after all the drama about him not getting enough opportunities, he got out to Ocean's great pace and good bowling, putuputu guys like Imrul will always be treated in the harshest of ways.
Saif did well but against better oppositions you need the experienced Rubel.
1st ODI XI needs more backing.
btw, great fielding by Metoon.

And yes, toss was very crucial in this series.

Congrats to the tigers for winning the trophy

The way Soumya got out was pathetic and should be of deep concern to the coach about whether he has the commitment and the drive to succeed. That is not how you throw your wicket away when securing the victory and staying not out was at your doorstep. This guy struggled for two whole years and the team backed him and if he had any realization of this fact he would not have thrown his wicket away like that when the more senior and established partner is trying hard at the other end to see the team through. At the world cup we will face good teams and nobody will give an inch and the runs Soumya casually gave up today by getting out will be like gold dust in a pressure situation.

He wanted to score a quick hundred which is understandable, if someone should take the blame it must be Mr DAS

You need a second keeper in the plan for world cup. Imrul is not a keeper.

As the game will start much earlier and won't be DN. Not risk of dew so batting first of bowling won't play big role. Knowing what to chase might be better. But big scores will be needed wicket will be flat.

My XI:
Tamim
Liton
Soumya
Mushy
Shakib
Mahmudullah
Saifuddin
Miraz
Nazmul (Apu)
Mustafizur
Rubel

Yes Rubel. Trust me am not his fan at t20s but I've notice he does bowl well early on his spell then gets destroyed latter at the death so since we have Saifuddin who can bowl at death with fizz we can user Rubel before 15th over. Basically finishe him off early. Asap

Liton might be a walking wicket but he is a great talent and need to be persisted for sometime.
