Default How long have you functioned without sleep.

I have a few tests coming up, and I have close to 0 preparation, in other words, in a scale of 1 to 10, I have 110% screwed. And I need to pass, by pass I mean not scrap a 50 but get 75+.

Is it possible to stay awake for close to 2 days straight with minimal amount of sleep lets say for 3-4 hours. I am desperate

I am already stocking up on Monster/Red Bull.

This is my plan

Go to sleep at 11:30pm- Wake up at 6:30pm Study Till Permutations and Combinations till 12pm, From 12-10:30pm study Algorithms and data structures.

Repeat for the next 2-3 days.

On behalf of all BC members, concentrate on studying rather than open threads here until your exams are over!

this is not only possible but is expected for any student studying STEM.

Memorizing 50 pages is possible if throughout your semester you have understood the materials and doing this as a review. If it is all new materials, I don't think it is possible for most ppl to memorize that much.... but if it is already previously learned and understood materials... piece of cake.

what I have been blessed with is that I feel good instead of feeling tired the more I study... and the more all nighters I pull....it becomes addictive to me... my only problem throughout my student life was getting started.. a big procrastinator I was and still am....

but once i start... forget about it! Its awesome feeling!!

you gotta be in the zone....

Good luck!!

Best of luck Dindaat.

Wait what? I don't even sleep that much on a normal day. What do you consider normal sleep?

I once went two days with only 2 hours sleep (that's back to back all nighters, with 2 hours of sleep in the afternoon). It can be done, but you will lose a whole day to sleep right after.

He clearly meant to say 6 am not pm

Nothing amazing regarding that 2 hour sleep ... during my work days even now I get 4 hours of sleep .between ..3 days straight

Can u not only function you can function high .... I work in a very stress full high quality environment .....

Kids these days are lazy as hell... and wants to sleep 10 hours and watch cricket rest of the time ... life is too short ...

I didn't even notice the pm haha. 11:30pm - 6:30am is a solid 7 hours sleep. I don't even know how it's possible to get 7 uninterrupted hours of sleep anymore.

Anyways good luck with the studies. Just remember its a temporary pain, you will feel so much better after its over.

11:30 pm to 6:30 am: 7 hours, that's more than what I do on regular basis.

For exam prep, I once didn't sleep for 70 hours although I don't recommend it. 70 hours was the gap between 2 sleep period.

Din sleeps until Raat from 11:30 pm to 6:30 pm NOT 6:30 am!

Yes, it's very achievable. I have done it many times , but it's not advisable .

Hope you did well in your tests.

How are you supposed to do well in an exam if you haven't had a good sleep?
