@Roy_1 bro,
Do West Bengalis eat Khatal (Jackfruit)? I read that Indians generally don't but curious if the same applies to West Bengal? Apparently, a lot of khatal in India goes to waste every year. Unbelievable! Just send them Bangladesh's way.

Hell yeah man!! I absolutely adore Kathal, paka khai, kacha Kathal mangsher moto ranna kore khai, my grandma even prepare daal and pui shak er chochhori with kathaler bichi in them. Kathal goes wasted cuz most people have no idea what to do with it I guess.
I am from a bangal family, so we basically have the exact same food habits and cuisines as Bangladeshis, beef is a big no no though.

If you toast the bichi first, it's absolutely amazing by itself or with shak. That is what I miss most about BD. Kaathal, aamra, kala Jam, pyara.

I personally don't like shingara with meat in it, fried dumpling with meat stuffing is not a very healthy combo I think, I like phulcopi aar korai shutir shingara though.
