I vividly remember that sad day - so much sorrow had filled my little heart. My mother was in tears, and my father was unable to convince himself to go to office.
the natsi perpetrators had taken to the streets - bringing calamity down upon us that was to last for 20 years. Bangladesh had again lost its independence, and it would be 20 more years before its was regained thanks to our jono netri Sheikh Hasina, for her life time of sacrifices fighting against the totalitarian regimes of Zia Rahman and Ershad.
We shall never forget nor forgive. We should remain eternally vigilent against the same foreighn forces and train our children under the ideology of our Bangabandhu. I think we also need special courses and modified curriculum to preach his ideology. Will that ever happen ?

You are not the only one who remembers that tragic day, Max, the day that ultimately ended our wonderful experiment in ein volk, ein party governance.
And while I agree with your suggestions about modifying the curriculum, I believe we need to go further. I think all male Bangladeshi children should be given the middle name Mujib (Hasina for the girls) to honour the sacrifices made on our behalf by our glorious leaders.
