I think I heard a line like that in some Dhallywood movie. When a villain tries to rape the Nayika, the girl screams "shoytaaaan... amar ijjot niye nibi tui? tor ghore ki ma bon nei?" ... haha.

Bit irrelevant but it reminded me of this line from a recent movie "Monster". Charlize Theron displayed amazing acting skills in that flick. She plays the role of a serial killer hooker. This one night she was hooking, with an old guy in his car. The guy started telling her "come here, come to daddy". She kinda wondered why she has to call him daddy. So she blurted out "Daddy? Do you f*** your kids?"... I don't recall the exact lines, but it was something like that.

r shoabi jodi already 'slept with someone'...biye korben kake?....

...my point is...women should not expose theirselves infront of public...especially men.....men got tempated then....there r ppl who could not resist their temptation and commit adultry....and there r ppl who can resist themeselves....the less women will expose theirselves....the less situation of adultry/fornication/rape will be occured...

...to get married..u need to check out girls....but check out girl's what?....check out their physical beauty only?...not their manner/behaviour?....i dont think anybody will let his wife to flirt/sleep...with other men...after marriage

....i apologize...if i am being harsh in my speech

If a girl is physically good looking and plays sports, chances are that she takes very good care of her body to remain fit. Chances are that she maintains cleanliness and has good eating and exercising habits. Chances are that having sex with her will be very enjoyable. Chances are that she will give birth to a healthy child.

Now that's just the physical part of the equation. Obviously she has to be intelligent and emotionally mature. But since I can't realistically take Brandi out to dinner to have a decent chat with her, I don't care about those factors. But that's not gonna keep me from appreciating her right to flaunt her own body if she wants to.

Burkha By Farhad Mazhar

O Lord, my girlfriend does not wear a burkha

She tells me, those who are faithful

They never look at a woman's body with evil eyes

They gaze only with Allah’s pure eyes

Only the lechers and unfaithful shout for burkha.

Let Allah put a black blindfold on their impure sight.

What is your judgment?

Look, the tailor eagerly awaits your answer

Crafty business plans: he waits with scissors and cloth

Waiting to turn on the sewing machine at your order.

Think it over, not bad - this idea of mine

Men wearing sharp clothes, all the airs

Even a prayer cap.

But the imbecile walks with a black blindfold

In the streets, not a burkha in sight

But people easily see

Who is the lecher and who is the faithful.

(a translation from original Bangla. The bangla goes on like this:

"Amar bandhobi probhu burkha pore na, morey koy
Jara porhesgar tara kobhu nareer shorir
Ku-nojore noy, dekhe allah'r shorif noyone,
Luccha O lompot jara tarai keboli burkhar
Ojuhat toley. Allah dik kalo kaporer
Potti bedhe ei shob purusher napak nojore"....etc

LOL excellent poem Nav - this guy is a genius! How much much simpler it would be if all men could be blind folded instead.

But in all seriousness, last weekend the temperature reached around 42 degrees Celcius here (around 108 F), and I just thought how on earth the women in the Middle East can go around wearing black burkhas, head to toe, in such stiffling heat. To ask people to do that is just.. cruel. (And before anyone makes a comment - Air conditioning hasn't been around for that long)

, isn't it ironic how Brandi cannot celebrate in the same manner as Pape Diop. If a man does it, it's because he scored the goal of his life, but if a woman does it, it's 'exposure'.. Sigh.. still living in medieval times I see.
That made no sense. Both the male and the female player exposed themselves after scoring goals. Both of them ALSO celebrated.

Fab, do you think women don't get excited as much watching a male player's naked upper body just as men do with female players?

If your answer is no, then it's probably the ladies' shortcoming to appreciate the male sexiness.

Sorry to have missed this delectable thread when it was still fresh! Blatter really is an old dog but one has to chuckle at his attempt to turn an otherwise respectable sport into subject matter for a Playstation Women's Beach Soccer video game...

On Brandi Chastain and the uproar, much has been written, but I never understood why people were being so hypocritical in expressing their shock (I'm referring to Americans mostly). In a sporting context, women in sports bras is quite normal. After a hot & sweaty game of soccer the first thing you want to do is take your shirt off, whether you are a man or a woman. And the stuff little kids wear on the streets these days makes all that hoopla with Chastain seem truly like oh so last century. I suppose that's progress.

I'm just glad I don't have to be blinfolded.

If you are asking men and women to be fair about whether they get excited or not watching the opposite sex play without a top, then fine. But something that should be remembered is that men and women play WITH a top, and will continue to do so. People will always check out sports stars of the opposite sex, that is human nature, but for the most part people are watching because they love the game. Having a top off is a brief moment that may come, or not, at the end of the game - surely you are not going to sit through a 90 minute match for the remote chance that Brandi is going to take off her shirt again? IN that case, just get a membership at the local gym!

Erm - no. Just do a google on the media reaction of both cases. There was a lot of 'debate' about the actions of Brandi. Yet if and when a male does the same thing there is hardly a second thought. The very fact that you brought in the Brandi example as 'exposure' into this dicussion, proves my point.

I split this thread and moved the posts relating to Veils to a new thread in the forget cricket forum.

The name of the new thread is "To Veil or Not To Veil".

Please let me know if you think any other post needs to be moved to that new thread.

Please post all veil related discussion in that new thread only. Thank you for your continuing co-operations and understandings.
