Default BanglaCricket for Mobile

We have received requests from users to have a way to check the latest score from cell phone, it may come handy when they are away and have no computer access.

We have come up with a solution. This will not work on all phones. If you are lucky (My cell phone works perfect with this), it will work fine in your cell phone.

Book mark the following link in your cell phone.

http://www.banglacricket.com/mobile

Viewing this page will always show you the latest score from the main page. This is updated regularly during games, sometimes even when CricInfo is not covering.

So this might come handy for some. Thos of you, whose cell phone wont display the page, our apologicies, sorry we cant help you.

Just tried it from a second phone, works fine.

Let us know if you get success too.

If this works for most of you, we will announce it in the main page parmanently, so users can be informed about this convinience.

I have browsed to the forum with my phone from Goggle link. Then clicked on the link in this thread. It worked righ away. I guess that problem I talked about before, is only specific to my phone, or this model.

It should work for UK.

It should work for blackberries.

Both of you should give it a try and let us know if it worked or not.

I used to pay for the SMS service from Cricinfo.
Now I got a free SMS service and get SMS for wicket and score update whenever there is a test or ODI match between the test playing nations.

Love it - got to check the score from my blackberry while riding BART to client site Now we need to add a full scorecard feature

While we are at it, why not a text only scaled down version of BC?

Sorry mate. Your cell phone browser is one of those that wont work with ours. Here is the problem in a nutshell.

Originally, cell phone browsers worked only with WML. However, the cell phone companies wants to make the cell phone a mini computer and the goal is to make the cell phone browsers be able to browse any and all sites. So they started building browsers that reads html (not the WML as its suppossed to). Now, most cell phone browsers read html than wml. Those cell phones that still use WML will not work for our site. Yours is one of them.

We cant do a text only version of the forum, thats like writing a whole forum application which take hundreds of hours.

We must keep data small for cell phones, so articles is out of the question also. So whats there to put?

1) Post a cell # of BC fanatic and we will all call him/her day or night.

2) Setup 1-800 number which plays some radio broadcast.

3) Visit an internet cafe.

setting up a 1-800 number is out of the question, i guess, since there'll be thousands of calls even during a tour match.

i visited the forum today on my blackberry, and could read the posts fine. however, i couldn't find the "Forget Cricket" section in the "Forum" page
