Default \'79, \'82 & \'86 ICC trophies

Do you remember that we played our first 3 ICC trophy tournaments ever in England?

I think that there is a touch of similarity of our England tour this time and those ICC trophies, especially the 1979 ICC trophy - on both occassions, our players were & are inexperienced of the English conditions, it was & is the first England tour for many of our players, past & present.

Test status- that's where the "touch of similarity" ends.

Other wise, yes, still unfamiliar with the conditions because few have "regularly" played there.

By looking at the history .......... Bangladesh team also won in the warm-up matches in England before they played world-cup in England ....... So , history says so many things what gives us spirit ........ But now it's a fresh new start overall .

i'm not so familiar with english waether conditions in early summer, but from what ppl say, it seems like the main concern is moisture in the air and soil. isn't there supposed be more moisture in the air and soil in winter? BD did well in world cup '99 which was held in winter. so, i guess if BD wanted, they could do well regardless of the early summer conditions, but yes it is gonna be very very tough.

'99 wc in winter ? I thought it was in May-June, unless England is in the So. hemisphere.

I think we did very well in the '82 ICC, with great names like Heera, Raqibul, Dowlat and co.

Just yesterday I was gossiping of BD cricket in the 70s. It was like a haze to me, but it really felt great just talking about the past.

another similarity that i found was akram khan was not in the team in 1979 and he is still not in the team now. but he was in the team in the middle of this two tours.
