Thanks Warrior for the update. So Shakib on Barbados and Tamim on St. Lucia. I'm really looking forward to this competition. WI has arguably the biggest hitters in cricket. We'll probably see many big hits. Looking forward to see how Shakib and Tamim do. Also interested to see how the young West Indians do

Will they have decent pitches? What have the domestic T20 pitches been like? Not going to be a lot of fun, if the pitches end up being too slow.

Hopefully the crowds come in droves!

Depends on which island. Barbados has fast pitches. Guyana good spin condition (Im afraid of what Narine will do there) St Lucia good for Batting. Trinidad tends to have slower pitches. Not too sure on the others. Depends on what the ground staff do. Gayle plays in Jamaica so you know how that's going to be.

I hope they do. Badly need some positive news regarding our cricket. This whole spot fixing thing has been very demoralizing. The Champions Trophy happening without us hurts a lot too. I hope our boys won't get benched in the WI t20

Unfortunately the tournament starts July 30th. So it'll be a long wait. Still it'll get our minds off of this mess. Also the A team tour will be taking place in August.

In a way I'm kind of happy that we're not in the Champions trophy. We should be 100% focused on this mess and see who else is involved so we can weed out the bad apples.

Going back to the CPL, both Shakib and Tamim's teams have only 3 foreigners each. I think they'll be able to get in to all the matches. It should be a good test for them playing against the Windies pacers as they have many of them

It would be nice if our boys like Razzak and Mushfiq get a contract.

Happy to see Tamim wanting to play in the CPL rather than the SLPL. WI would present different conditions and challenges which would help Tamim a lot
