India could barely beat us in the Asia Cup even though they had an extra day of rest in 40C+ temperature. They are only better in tests and that's it. In the limited overs, both teams are evenly matched.

I wouldn’t mind seeing gill in the odi series, doing well in their domestic structure.

Squads for Limited overs:

ODI squadJason Holder (capt), Fabian Allen, Sunil Ambris, Devendra Bishoo, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels, Oshane Thomas
T20I squadCarlos Brathwaite (capt), Fabian Allen, Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer, Evin Lewis, Obed McCoy, Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Khary Pierre, Kieron Pollard, Rovman Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, Oshane Thomas

New faces...and old faces.

Delighted to see Khary Pierre and Sherfane Rutherford, along with Oshane and Fabien.

A green pacer in Obed McCoy. Chanderpaul Hemraj( who made a century only last night in the Super50) to provide top order backup I assume

At least we got close to 300 at the end of day one.

But wickets on the high side.

Everyone got a start. Everyone played over 25 balls. The next step is to build a partnership by the top order. Well done so Far WI.

They have their prime spinners there. Indian pitches are more spin-friendly than pace friendly and each pacer will probably not bowl more than 10 overs each innings.

Interesting take on SG ball.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/...uality-sg-ball

So lack of wickets by Indian standard is blamed on the ball.

Rohit Sharma might get another double century this series looking at how much runs are being scored, he has 4 more ODIs

Holder needs to get the scoring up. His strike rate isn't good at all at this crucial stage.

Tied. A fair result I would say. We have yet to tie once in our ODI history.
