If that's the excuse then it's quite a silly excuse.
The real thing is Pak are in no hurry/no interest to host us, it's just that they know the first team which might agree to visit Pak will be BD, that's why they are trying their best to play us at HOME.
Otherwise If we had refused to visit Pak I don't expect them to arrange a series in SHarjah against us.

You are talking like Hina rabbani .
But you are right that instead of blaming PAk we should blaim BCB.
But I don't want to keep whining about the same thing, now that the tour is confirmed and the players agreed to visit let's just hope and pray for a good series, and a safe one.

This has not applied to Pakistan. Sometimes they had a series of attacks.
I don't think so. The fanatics has been killing other Muslims.

Ankur86,
So you mean for some weird reason Mushfik is replaced by Dhiman, then the chance of getting attacked will be confirmed. Same goes if we include Shuvagoto Hom.
Very silly logic there.

Every country has its problem but not a problem involving terrorists. And it's just sheer blind faith that they don't kill Muslims. These terrorists are quite fine with killing Muslims. All those Pakistani people killed in bomb blasts were Muslims, they even had a bomb blast in a mosque. Get real these terrorists don't think like normal people, in their eyes we are kafirs because we are allies of kafirs or other bullshit excuse their twisted mind can come up with.
Also don't forget, pakistanis in general along with Arabs have long considered Bangladeshis as "half-Muslims"
Anyways the point is if they can't provide enough security for their ministers the. How can they guarantee our players' security.

Cricket arena is the best place to attack - all the terrorist are looking for is International attention. Death of Pak minister has been not focused anywhere in the western media but death of people related to an international team will have an impact.
In any case, I am pretty certain ICC will not approve this.

ICC also want to see cricket in Pakistan. So if any team demands permission, they will give permission but IMO they won't take the responsibility about security.

If this is the case, why on earth Bangladesh wants to travel Pakistan? It is a simple common sense that not to travel and if PCB makes an excuse prooves that they really don't give a damn about us, we are just a empty busket, they way they are behaving. In my opinion, either sharjah venue otherwise big NO to pakistan.

What does BCB mean about ICC permission or secuirty? Are they asking ICC if they can tour or if ICC will send their officials? ICC will have no qualms about using bangladesh as guinea pigs, but they won't send their own officials. They already made special rules so that PCB can use home umpires if they can convince any team to tour.

Exactly, the ball is and always in BCB's court. It is like someone gives you a glass of petrified dish solution and continuously badgering you to drink it confirming that it tastes like pinna colada and works like gin-seng. BCB need to look before any such dangerous leap. We do not want FDC making films after the tour on our cricketers. Do not create headlines if you have a choice.

Quote:
......
.................

Don't try to read to much into what our politicians or their chamchas say. The bottom is not what ICC says; what Lotus asked Plabon to say. Lotus got sucked up by PCB so much that he's not afraid to put our cricketers life into jeopardy.

Any kind of security can not give guarantee of safety in Pakistan even presidential security too. We their ministers aren't safe with available security. So how their security system assure safety of our cricketers?

Prothom-alo online poll suggests most of the Bangladeshis are in favour of this tour.

Dear ankur,
Although online polls are among few processes upon which I have minimum faith, even if you look at the number of negative responses it becomes clear how grave the situation is. Regardless of cultural heritage, social ethics and religious belief 2051 putting No against only 2457 with Yes actually strengthens the lobby who are wisely and rightly opposing the tour to happen. Even 72 more are not sure whether this tour should take place or not.
It tells you, intervention of High Court at the last moment of the similar tour as per proposed ICC itinerary to postpone with an immediate order was not really unexpected but also much praised decision from cricket fans. I do believe BCB will show greater care on the cause of safety rather getting exploited by the emotional blackmailing by PCB.

exactly! when icc can't give us regular interval of matches, who are they to order us to play in hostile environment? I mean pak leaders aren't even safe. Ok no problem, our players will go there, no problem. One condition. Per death of a player, they will pay 1 billion British Pound to improve of quality of our cricket. Only then!!!

Let there be more...I hope that BCB will call it off themselves after hearing whatever the ICC says...no neutral umpires. If not, still hope in ordinary citizens and the courts.

You know what? I really don't see the point of this tour because Pakistan have a full series against South Africa on 1st February which means that most of the regular Pakistan players will only be there in Bangladesh for less than one week so no point in including them in BPL 2 and waste the money.

^ An not to mention that BPL only has themselves to blame. They failed to attract big names in the 2nd version because they coudn't make the payment at the right time (most likely still didn't pay a lot of people) ...
If i was BCB this is what i would have recommanded to pakistan. If the players/management/etc agrees to tour pakistan then they have to host us for a full series in 2013 in a nutral venue ( not in pakistan)!!!

Pakistan said long ago that they wont host us in UAE. It is not commercially profitable.
Dear One World
I am also not in favour of the tour. But the majority should win. Isn't it?

Even they are available for whole tournament, I think we should not go.Because this the question of our valuable player's life.
