Default T20 Specialist: !!!****Aftab Ahmed***!!!

Aftab Ahmed:

T20Is
Stats: (Av: 22.80) (SR: 128.08) (HS: 62*)

Twenty20
Stats: (Av: 16.35) (SR: 113.00)

HS Scores:
62* V West Indies
36 V South Africa
31 V Australia
28 V Zimbabwe
18 V Sri Lanka

How dearly we needed a player like Aftab Ahmed, he is clearly a T20 specialist. Anyone please tell me what happened to this guy, why did he stop playing cricket?
He could have easily replaced Mahmudullah Riad or play at No.3 easily in T20 format.

These days, he is more busy hosting Mezbani khawon dawon and polishing his taak with tibbot kodur tel while maalishing his ever bulging bhuri.
Oh, did I mention getting beaten up by the bharatiya ??

Aftab bought his retirement ticket alongwith bunch of others when they quit BD national team for ICL. Hope it was worth doing (could Mezbani Khawon Dawon be a product of this?).

We should have Alok in the team, he can change the match any-time in his day and he is better than Nasir/Riad in T20.

Last time I read his interview at PA about yr ago was all about his frustration to overcome the depression to regain confidence and such bla bla. Who ever read that, should've enough confirmation about he is been done with cricket by long ago.

Wasn't Alok captained Sylhet team in last BPL? Abul there really cost them whole BPL tourney with pathetic results.

Ya...Alok could have been there for Nasir/Riyad

Aftab, no need... Blind hitting..Zia is way better..although he doesn't look that good, but much more effective and consistent than Aftab.

Alok Kapali never, utter flop. Aftab Ahmed would have been in the T20 sqaud had he worked harder to improve his game and not become a lazy guy. I liked this guy very much, back in the day both Aftab and Ashraful did really well. He (Aftab) is way better than Mahmudullah.

Its the other way round nadim. Aftab is the Bariwala who had a problem with his Barate.

ki jani bhai, jotodur mone pore Alok's T20I is pretty mediocre, Nasir is our current ODI star,i believe it's a matter of time he starts delivering, specially he is a big match player, his fielding alone is a bonus.
But Phorhad Reza is a dead deal.

Aftab is a lost cause and hasn't done anything in domestics for a while. Anybody that watched the BPL would know, he was woeful in the BPL. Alok also has done nothing to get called back. Mushy, Nasir, Riyad, and Zia all outperformed him by a pretty big margin. There is a reason why the guys I mentioned made it over Alok and Aftab.

I hope so too bro. We need him to click badly. If he.clicks then I am pretty sure 2nd round is only a matter of time for us. I don't recall Nasir hitting the ball all over the ground but I remember Alok doing that in numerous occasions.

And Alok is not that bad of a fielder either..And I am not saying Nasir should not be in the team or Alok should be in playing XI but he could definitely replace Reza

I agree Nasir has work to do as a T20 player but we've got to understand that T20's are a new format for us. We're seeing that even our best players like Tamim and Shakib are struggling. So it's going to take Nasir a little bit of time before he gets going. Let Alok perform in the BPL and then we can talk. It's not looking good for him though as Shabbir has went ahead of him as a legspin allrounder.

And Farhad's there as the backup pace allrounder. In this format, pace allrounders are key. That being said, Milon or Babu seemed to be the better prospects than Farhad in T20's.
