Preaching to the choir here. Or even Shafiul, looks improved and was always much more consistent than these two. I'd pick Nazmul and Shafiul, at least they'd keep it tight on conditions that hardly suits fast bowling.

All our selectors are ex captains and i respected them a lot as players. But sometimes i dont understand their thinking-like the one in the thread title. Maybe Abul can bowl faster, maybe Shahadat can get more bounce, maybe they have more x factor but is that pace, bounce and x factor making any difference? No.

Test cricket is all about concentration, discipline. From his early days Nazmul has been given the new ball ahead of Shahadat because of his control. He might not have the venom to pick wickets, but at least he can keep it tight at one end and allow someone else to attack from the other. Shahadat and Abul neither keep it tight nor attack. Their place in the team is pretty much to fill up the numbers.

I'd leave Abul for now. 2nd pacer should be shafiul/nazmul

God no. Why? Nazmul is ahead of him in the pecking order anyways, and even Shafi.

Do you guys follow news or what ? Shafiul is injured and already out of Sri lanka tour as far as I know. I think if Mash is also not available for Lanka tour then it will be Taskin n Nazmul for ODI's.

Sajidul has been in good form in last NCL. Nazmul is also a very good bowler. But Sajidul has more pace and variation which would be useful in longer version.

Knowing our selectors though, neither will get picked. It's sad that we have to talk about fast tracking someone as young and raw as Taskin, but such is the state of our fast bowling.

Why shouldn't Nazmul play? We already know what he did to Sri Lankan batsmen...TWICE!

Nazmul not getting picked up for this tour is straight up retarded.
