The reason why i think BPL was detrimental to our t-20 preparation is because the terrible pitches blurred the line between good t-20 players and average t-20 players. I mean its one thing to get a 39 ball 40 in a low scoring game and quite another to be scoring 30 ball 50 in a high scoring chase. Both good players and average players can rotate the strike... but it is the big shots under pressure and against high quality bowling, that would set them apart. Right now the enthusiasm is muted for Taskin Soumia Shabbir Rubel and yet these are the guys that faced the top quality games and won matches for us. Taskin was the highest wicket taker for bd in WC wasnt he? All the love right now is for SN, Jahirul, Imrul, Hyder etc

Easy with Gazi hate. This is only a Preliminary squad.
He is not going to get featured in the top 15, so...

Yes he was. 9 wickets at an average of ~35.
Had 4-5 catches dropped off his bowling (he was the culprit once). His average would then be around 24.

Don't quite understand the inclusion of Hom. When will they realize that he is useless.

It's good they opted Taskin out. He is not a T20 bowler and he should not play T20s either. Test should be his priority with occasional one dayers.

The selection of Hom is just outrageous. However, one cannot deny that a hack like hom makes merry in formats like T20s. Bits and pieces cricketer.
And suprised they included Nurul. Maybe they are testing the team combination. Good decision. Suprised Nasir got the boot but I suppose the squad is for the first 2 T20Is only. Let us see what is in store for us

We should win the T20s easily with BPL experience, and key players returning to the side.

Mushfique should be no where near the playing eleven. The guy is pure shiite when it comes to T20 batting. Nurul is a better option than him atleast from what we saw in the BPL.

He is OK. We just have to hope he is not batting with the lower order when we need 7 runs from 6 balls and we will be fine.

Would have taken Mosaddek any day over Hom.
Nurul can hit and very intelligent cricketer and also the best wk in the country so make sense to give him a chance.
Glad no Rubel and Taskin. Both were awful in BPL.

I agree with you but the replacement is ridiculous to say the least. Al furqan must be over the moon

Good time to select Hom. By worldcup he will be out of the team via crap performances.

Anamul got out of the team. Along with Nasir too. (+Litton)
Oh now i see why Anamul Hauqe Bijoy didnt post the squad anouncement news. Rather he posted a picture of him with Nasir on the same day. They both have big fan base too.
So, Politics.. (joking).
Whatever, Anamul, You are good player and we know about it. Just not in a right form at the moment.

Anamul's form is not the issue. It is his attitude. He seems to have the same popularity as KP within the dressing room. He has to play selflessly and earn back the trust of the team

Its a shame that Anamul has become reduced to being labelled as "selfish and mediocre" given that one day he was regarded as the next big thing in BD cricket not 2 years ago and BC members where writing "Bring anamul in the team" on their undershirts
A huge question mark on the quality of domestic cricket in Bangladesh. Having said that, i would still regard Litton as a more potent player than Anamul, good technique, not as selfish i assume. However, need to find some momentum.
However, this BPL was not able to fulfill our needs of finding batsman who can suit well to T20s. How on earth can you find such players if you make teams bat on minefields. Shabbir, Litton, Soumya, Anamul, all 4 of these youngsters failed and surely cannot be a co-incidence. Now our batsman will be low on confidence while the bowlers will be overconfident thinking that they can bowl half vollies every over and get away with them.
I don't know if you watched the BPL, but someone like HOM had an ER below 7 and atleast half of his deliveries were half trackers that would have been dispatched on normal pitches.
As teams had to struggle to get the runs, their was no final over assaults which meant that the skill of the players, batsman and bowlers in the death overs were not tested fully. Bowlers didn't even need to bowl yorkers.

Hom had one of the best SRs in BPL, may be its not a bad Idea to try him out in number 7, Nasir hasn't put the world on fire in that position

I think this dude Hom has some very private pictures of Bashar or Faruk that he is blackmailing them with. Or else why would he be consistently selected.

Lets keep the discussion civil and not say stuff that are downright offensive. Cancellation of a tour doesn't mean u need to call all aussies convicts and selection of Hom doesnt mean its blackmail. Faruq picked a great WC 2015 squad so its not all bad.
