I feel bad for Saqlain Sajib. Unless M. Rubel starts playing bad Dhaka won't play him. Same goes for Soumya he won't get to bat in the top order ahead of Anamul, Ash, Shakib, Shah, Wright. Today I think he came out to bat at number 7. That's way too low down the order for him to do anything.

They should send Soumya and other players before Ash and Shakib in some games.

Soumya is an opener so he can replace Ash at no.2. Ash ke 6/7 e namiye Soumya ke open korano uchit. Ar na hoi Ash ke kisu games er jonne rest dite pare.

Same for Shakib and Mosharaf. Odher ke rest diye onnoder chance deya dorkar.

Quotes of Dhaka Gladiators top order batsman Mohammed Ashraful

ahead of the match against Rangpur Riders at Khulna on Tuesday, January 21, 2013

Q. The team should be upbeat with two wins in the first two matches and scoring 200 plus runs in both the games.
Ashraful: The team is really boosted with the two wins and for the positives that the matches had. We got good start in both the matches and ended up putting very good runs on the board and at the same time the bowlers also performed their job well. So hopefully we will try to hold on to the good work that the team have done so far in the upcoming matches. The next two matches (in Khulna) are against very good sides so we will take the matches one after another.


Q. About your performance.
Ashraful: I had a target to play aggressive cricket in BPL and get the team a flying start if possible. I think I have been able to execute my target well in the first two matches and hope that will be able to do the same in the upcoming matches also. I got the start in the first match but failed to lengthen the innings, so I will try to avoid such things in the upcoming matches.


Q. How is your team enjoying that you are back into scoring runs.
Ashraful: Yeah the team is enjoying I guess and all of them are really excited to see me score and get a good start and at the same time I am also enjoying the same.


Q. About the Rajshahi game tomorrow.
Ashraful: I think all the team are the same in T20 as because the match is not the lengthy. All are saying that they (Rajshahi) are a weak side on pen and paper but if you look into their first games, I will say they were brilliant. So there is no scope for us to take them lightly as what at the end of day matters is how a team performs on the field.
