Default Match Thread: Aftab v Nafis, OD 1 (Simulation)

Hello and welcome to Virginia for the first game of this Simulation Series between Team Aftab and Team Sarkar. There have been a few showers around but some light covers are on the pitch and we're expecting play to get under way on time.

The covers have been removed and the captains are in the centre

Ehsan: HEADS!
Match Referee: Heads it is
Ehsan: We'll have a bowl thanks *shakes Tehsin's hand*
Reporter: Ehsan what was your reason for bowling first?
Ehsan: I have confidence in our bowling lineup to use the pitch early on and get a lot of movement with the cloud cover, hopefully role them cheaply and finish the game quickly so rain doesn't play too much of a part
Reporter: Tehsin, would you be disappointed with the result of the toss?
Tehsin: A litte but if we set a competitive total it will be very hard to chase on this track

Default Pitch Report

The pitch is a shocker. It is soft and has been poorly prepared. There's grass sprouting up everywhere and the key has no problem at all breaking the surface. There will be some low bounce and the odd one could move across the seam, it will be a hard day for the batsmen

I should have given my batting average as 70 and bowling average as 8 or something (actually, it is the other way round)
