Default Pak tour of India 2012-13

So in the end Pak managed to get a nod from the richest cricket board after a draught of long five years. PCB will get a pat for being able to make BCCI agree for this tour when all important Eng-Ind series is underway.

The matches between sub-continental teams mostly become stale as for last many years bowling has nothing to boast about creating impacts in the match results. Many times we have seen it is all about better batting, which either ensures a mammoth total first or clinically reaches the target on board. With Tendulkar gone, it will be interesting to see how those teams approach there ODI's. For T20's they may become very exciting or from the get-go you can tell the script is written which is not just a possibility when Ind-Pak meets. In past test matches we have seen players from both countries breaking and making records after records regardless of their true form or athleticism. Any cricket spectator can recognize the ugliness so viciously exposed like triple hundreds, 10 wickets in an innings by a bowler etc. We have seen Azharuddin and Salim Malik and many other cherished popular big name cricketers at the receiving end of allegations which are well investigated to start with.

Having their frontline batsmen and bowler barred from playing due to spot fixing and lot of performances by current players, specially the wicket keeper, Pak players hopefully would be cautious enough to step into the same water again. But we hope no intervention due to some agreement among the boards about the results that will get emphasis when the game starts. Being a cricket fan from teen-hood, me like any other cricket enthusiast would like to see some competition and real cricket from both sides.

In the end, they need to keep in mind, if all goes fair and square, the strength will be properly judged and also for the betterment of cricket and it's fan base (which is not really that big compared to other sports) a good T20 and ODI series free of any external illegitimate influence would be a key pleasure. To bring back true cricket a trustworthy show is extremely required and also expected from fans who easily can reckon the current aggravation of interest on such series (this comment can be justified from the messages posted by cricinfo members).

Big Picture
Just the plain fact that this tour is actually happening is a gargantuan achievement for the Pakistan Cricket Board and its chairman Zaka Ashraf.

^ I don't know about a 3-0 whitewash. I think this Pak team will be fired up. They have a thing or two to prove. India is the clear favorite here because of their ridiculous ODI batting line up but I think it will be a lot closer than 3-0.

It's not that I support Pakistan or care about their win but there is something about India's loss that brings me immense pleasure, esp inflicted by those to whom India hates to lose the most !!

Same here, this is a win-win series for me, but would prefer Indian loss.

Nobody can predict about result of the match between India-Pakistan before ending the game. They play in the field not only with their abilities but also their mental and nerves. So it is almost impossible to say the result of the series now.

Right, it is a shame that even the number 11 among Indian players may be personally owns more riches and bank balance than whole PCB.

But, money is not always that useful, eh?
