Default Peformance of K Mahmud Shujon

Do u think recent strong showing of K Mahmud Shujan makes him a candiadate for test recall (considering the conditions in England)?

Hmm.... Sujon in Test Team...interesting.!
What should I say? NO? YES?
Who sacrifice his position for Chaccha?
We need a genuine batsman-cum-pacer for England tour.
Let me ask. Is he ideal for this position ( no. 6 batsman)?
Answering these question you will get your answer.

Mahmud already needs to prove his worthyness as having some sort of ability with the bad in the ODI team! He better do that fast! I wonder how much longer can his bowlings alone secure his place in the ODI team!

Why are u talking about TESTS?!!!

He should be considered for ODIs only. But his recent performance (in ODIs) puts his inclusion in jeopardy.

No for test recall. But i'm pleased to see his purple patch which would make him more confident in ODI matches. I hope his rich vein of form continues in England tour.

well, i'd say no. his inclusion in the test team, especially in the team that'll play england will depend a lot on how he performs in the practice matches in england (i'd like to see him get a chance or two in those).

what a WASTE it will be to play him in the practice matches..( in fact there is three tour matches before the first match..one of those is against the university..)....

just imagine, how valuable it will be for a young pacer to get such opportunity/exposure..

one hopes that unlike some of this forum members, the selectors be FORward looking, not BACKward looking!!!.

11 Vote (45%) for Sujon in favor of playing him test?

Is it possible, some people mistakenly voted for Pilot thinking they are voting for K. Masud (not K Mahmud) and some people mistakenly voted for Bashar thinking that they are voting for Shumon (not Shujon)?

May be the title should have something like:
Performance of K Mahmud Shujon (ChaCha).

Or, may be I am just underestimating our members here...

well, he's scored a 53 ball not out 54 and grabbed 5 wickets after not bowling at all in the first inning of the recently completed NCL round. i say we give him a chance in the practice matches - just to be fair with him. if he turns out to be good enough, it will be gr8 for the team.

i think SOME of us are tired on wasting our words on how wise or UNwise to think about putting Chacha in the test side....

and playng him at no 6??? (against any attck, any where)... that does not merit even a single word.

He is a One Day specialist and good for One Day cricket. So my answer is: NO.

looks like only NO voters wants explain their votes... so its easy to say that Yes voters think they don't need explain why he should be in the test team.

Well i am going to break the silence...cause i think that he proved so many times he is a fighter and england is his home ground so i believe he well wonders in england.. We need him in england test team cause the team needs more midium pacers for the england tour (spinner will be no good in england sp rana and others)....

Or.. they are afraid to admit publicly that they voted for him(atleast most of them).

ChaCha is like 'soap opera', most of them watches, but very few publicly admit.

There should've been a "not sure yet - subject to performance in upcoming matches" option. The absence of that has forced me to vote for the negative.

Is Chacha a medium pacer? I guess then Brett Lee throws lightning bolts!!!
Who comes up with such illogical theories?
Chacha bowlers even slower than Kumble!!!

Well they tried him to smak during the wc99 couldn't.. and try to understand the diff between spin and pace bowlers(even if its slower then spinners, Spinner SPINs the ball and the pacers balls fast and midium pacers ball midium fast/slow)... Bowling slow is also an art and that doesn't make anyone obsolete.. Remember the guy from NZ(forgot his name) he was with the team as a bowler then a batsmen alrounder for how long god knows..

Anyway point is if slow does for us (which i think the only think will work) then we need to use slow.. Dont have to go for fast all the time..

Also Fleentof and co r use to play fast bowlers and probably smak MM and co easily and that goes for our spinners too, so to me the only way out is slow slow slow midum pacers..
