Default The “No bulls***” strategy to our win against India

No “anchor the innings” bulls*** approach from Tamim
We have enough capable batsman in the middle order to anchor the innings much better than Tamim. Shakib and Mushfiq are more capable than Tamim to do this. What we need from him is a fast start along with Soumya. If we are to win this game we need 40-50 runs above par score for the ground. This would mean well above 300 and in the 330-350 region. We cannot achieve this with a 80 ball 60 from Tamim.

No “buffet powerplay bowling” bulls*** from Mashrafi
I get it you are the captain and an inspirational leader however if you cannot take wickets then you need to give the new ball to those who can. In this case your options are Fizz, Saifuddin and Shakib. Since Dhawan is missing, Shakib should definitely have a crack at the right handed Rohit. Bowl your buffet session during 10-35 overs in short spells once we take a couple of wickets.

No “saving for the death overs” bulls*** for Shakib
If we get India, 3-4 wickets down during the middle of the innings we need to go for the jugular and try to kill the game right there and then instead of following the set defensive template we did vs Afghanistan. We allowed a 10 over period to Afghanistan by removing Shakib from the attack when they were allowed to regroup and launch an attack. We cannot adopt this sissy tactic. No bullshit bowling changes.. if Shakib is in rhythm and taking wickets then keep him on, put more men around the bat and go for the kill.

No “countering the leggie batting order change” bulls*** for Soumya
Clearly, the guy can only function as an opener and we need the best out of him. So do not change Soumya. If we need a fast start, then perhaps open with Soumya and Liton leaving tuk tuk Tamim to bat at 5. No bulls*** changes to Soumya should be allowed.

No “overexcitement performance anxiety” bulls*** during keeping or catches
Please keep your emotions in check Mushfiq. You cost us an important game in this competition so no more bulls*** keeping please! We also need safe fielders around the bat and no bulls*** Shabbir at point either. Let’s have Mosaddek or Liton at that position.

Cricket has moved on - our batsmen need to move on too. Sooner Tamim understands the following, better for him and BD team:

‘টিকিয়া থাকাটাই চরম সার্থকতা নহে। অতিকায় হস্তী লোভ পাইয়াছে, কিন্তু তেলাপোকা টিকিয়া আছে।’

I will play four fast bowlers, and drop either Mehedi or Mosaddek against them. Rubel wasn't managed well last time, and Australia are great against pace. The next game needs to be a batting pitch, and hope to win toss.

Stick to winning team and batting lineup.
Soumya @2 and Liton @6.

Be Brave Bat First.
Use same formula to build the innings (keep wickets in hand). 4-5 rr 1-10 overs, 5-6 rr 10 - 30 overs, 7-8 rr 30-40 overs and 8+ rr 40-45, go balistic for the last 5 if we have atleast 4 wickets left.

Get a decent total and choke the opponent.

Adjust targets if wicket is slow and hard to bat on.

You know too well Mash will bowl first and bowl himself ATLEAST the first 10 overs....

Just like the World Cup in Australia.

If only we could avoid that.....

Mahmudullah might not play. In that case if he does not recover in 7 days sabbir comes. Since India is very good at playing spin especially our so called spinners, rubel should come in place of miraz.

1. Tamim
2. Soumya
3. Shakib
4. Mushy
5. Liton
6. riyad/sabbir
7. Mosaddek
8. Saif
9. Rubel
10. Fizz
11. Mash

Soumya must bowl middle overs also in case they target Mash which they will. Also India plays shakib really well. So Mustafiz rubel and saifuddin has to bowl really well backed up by soumya and mosaddek. I think Soumya’s bowling will be crucial in this match.

In terms of batting, we will win only if one of Soumya or Liton makes big score. I think Liton Das will be the xfactor in our batting.

Fielding and aggressive attitude will be key factor. I hope two things doesn't happen: run outs and stumpings. Dhoni always seemed to do damage through stumping in crucial time. This is gonna be the hardest game for our boys for numerous factors. Pressure, crowd, umpiring, opponent, etc. If we can beat india then we can win the wc.

it's good to be confident but it's not good to take things for Granted or be arrogant. India is a team against whom we have consistently lost across all formats since 2015 ODI home series win...

The number of times we came close to a win is too damn high. It's about time we cross that line.
