Like I said, you can expect to see the usual Semi Final NZ. I hope you all MMW-ed. But nothing to be ashamed of. Before this WC, everyone questioned their ability to make the Semis this time around, knowing how they make it every year. And they did. And that's huge. The way NZC board rebuilde the whole team, (not just the team, the staffs and the coaches) within six month is quite memorizing, true professional work.

SS and Oram will be missed. They will go down on that famous NZ ALR list.

As for SL. They should be glad that they had this middle order mess today, instead of on the finals.

Also, he is the only captain from Subcon who can speak English properly.

Unlike the other 3, "Vell of cors vu kno batting is are strengthk, vell of cors our fielding is not that good, our bowling will always be bad, vell of cors u know" or "inshallah, masallah, bismillah, alhamdullila, we lost the game, I am hero" or "ummm... eeh... uhh... eehh.. ummm *middle finger*... idk .. emm... heh, we play good cricket last 12 months.."

^ lol oh don't you worry about that. I am pretty sure SL will be Bangladeshi favorites, even though Indo-Paks are more popular in Ban.

not that I consider speaking proper english a particularly important attribute in a cricketer but you seriously think dhoni speaks like that ? have you ever listened to him speak ?

sanga's yankee accent gets to me a little, I always preferred mahela.

Sanga doesn't have an American accent. He has a British accent. That's because he went to an English private school in SL. Pretty much anyone from that school speaks like that.

But what I do admire about Sanga is when he speaks Sinhalese, like he did during the presentation ceremony after semi finals, he doesn't mix English and Sinhala. When he speaks Sinhala he speaks pure Sinhala, no English words. When he speaks English he speaks pure English.

you are correct about the variety of accent but I meant it more as 'yuppy' than anything else. wrong choice of words I guess. we have those kind of schools here as well, the accents are however useless hangovers from the colonial era if you ask me.
