Can we handle Ashwin with the bat or ball ??? I am guessing the question focuses on his bowling.

Ashwin is a good spinner on the sub continent who can score some useful runs too. If he bowls in the last 2 days then we will be in for some trouble.

For once I would like to follow a tour involving Bangladesh where I'm genuinely confident about our prospects and not fearful of a demolition.

Ashwin is a giant in home conditions, if BD can handle him then they are a quality batting team because that would be a significant achievement (for any team).

If BD get a chance to bat first they should try and utilize this as much as possible, gonna be super difficult to tackle Ash on 4th and 5th day pitch, lots of big games were hunted this way in the past

Yep we need to get Zimbabwe to visit Mirpur. Perhaps we can even reignite Tanbir Haider's career

We use to handle Ashwin well before. Even if we can't handle him, at least we have the spin duo of Shakib and Mehedi to handle these Indian batsman. But yeah, Ashwin will probably be the difference between the sides. I hope it is a spinning pitch; wouldn't mind if the pitch is flat though; either way, the match will be a cracker.

Are you for real? 1st and 2nd spot in the ICC ranking are currently occupied by two of our bowlers. please don't make a fool out of yourself, your glass boned Mustafizur who struggles to play two consecutive odis, I refuse to believe would be of any significance in test matches and let us not talk about taskin and others, would be eaten for luch in Hyderabad.

Considering Musta is irrelevant in longer format, you don't have any world class bowler barring Sakib
Ashwin is over rated. He hasnt performed anywhere outside India like a top ranked bowler. On flat pitches Jadeja is more lethal than him.

Performed extremely well in WI, performed better than yasir in Aus, over all not as impressive outside Asia as he is in India, but if he is considered over rated I think same criteria should be applied to Dennis Lillie and Warne too as both were absolute duds in Asia.

You are right in your observation, Jadeja is better than him on flat pitches

Most bowlers are better in their own backyard (same with batsmen) but spinners especially, even the greats have a pretty dire record in at least a couple of countries outside their own. He has time to rectify his record outside of India so it will be interesting to see how he goes in future tours.

Regardless, the match coming up is in India and he's most certainly a handful at home.

You nailed it bro.

Some fans are just grade A hypocrites, for them when Asians struggle to cope with green or bouncy wickets abroad is because they are not good enough but when their batters crap pants against spin or bowlers are taken to the cleaners in Asia they conveniently forget to apply the same logic

Unless its a leggie, then he's the worst in the line-up against them

For the first 20 overs of his, looks like we handled him well. 20-5-62-1. Econ 3.1. Not bad.

... so that means we handled him well? Or we rather wait before making a conclusion?
