Very Poor Team Selections in NZ

We need slow low doctored pitches to compete against top teams.


Even if we bring all those BC favourites we'll still lose as badly as we've been losing since we've left our Mirpur den.

Ppl have been literally crying here for Rubel's inclusion. What has he Done in his first match ? Nothing.

Gave almost 11 runs per over and got thrashed around by Williamson when even a part timer like mosa didn't concede that many.

Dude people wanted him in ODI. I wasn't in massive favour though but over Tanbir in the last odi? Defo. Yes I would want Rubel instead of Tanbir. But Rubel for T20s not. Most BD wise fans do not want Rubel in T20s and TEST. But Tell that to the r.tarded Coach!

That's what we should be doing. Good cricket is good cricket, often translates well across formats. But I do agree with your overall point. We need to remember the selections/exclusions are probably based on politics not performance - evidence is in the sheer ridiculousness of their stated rationale. "Rubel is not fit" - then pick Tanvir Haider???? (they coulda said "look at Rubel's career stats!! and we woulda believed em. But no, they manufactured a reason on the go, that's why it sounded ridiculous.

Point is, when those in media/power/politics sound incredibly dumb, its not cuz they actually are. Its becuase the actions are politically motivated, and the rationale is fake

If you were to take rubel, u had to go with 4 pacers. Should hv been fine. Team wanted spining option. Should hv picked miraz knowing kiwis hv four left handed batsman and how he troubled english batsman rather than tanvir.

There is reason why "selectors' are independent and authoritative body of selecting the team (of 15) in most of the countries. They consult with Coach and the Captain, but the ultimate authority and the responsibility of team selection (of 15) belongs to the selectors.

But only in Bangladesh we screwed up the process and made the selectors a group of "yes sir" puppies. Now if the selection sucks, Haturu daa and BCB (for screwing up the selection process) needs to take all the blame.

Aheyye bolsilaam don't screw up with the selection process.
