CL board member Dean Jones said the world's financial crisis and the fact that the India cricket team's tour of New Zealand had been lengthened and would have clashed with the ICL were key reasons for the decision.

- interestingly even if there is a tournament in October...how will our boys perform without any high level cricket for 9 mths...look at Cairns for example - his performance has plummeted

The reason sounds logical to me, because their main source of income is from sponsorships & it will be hard to get sponsors while India is touring NZ. Even if they get, the Sponsors will like to lower the stakes because viewers will be less. Then comes IPL. So holding it after IPL makes commercial sense.

well the reason makes on sense..who's gonna follow icl when india and nz is playing..they hav to find a time period where there is not many international cricket going on..i dnt know where u guys are getting this whole icl will be cancelled thing..i'm sure they are losing alot of money..but its a business..u lose some u gain some
