I have nothing against being colorful, nor against being simple.

I just don't see why we should make it a requirement that first post of a match thread has to have some fancy stuff on it.

Hmm, while personally I don't like that sort of attitude, It's nice to see him opening a thread. Very secluded,that guy.

Anyway, all the colour on this thread should be provided by our performance and that of our cricket team. No point blaming Spitty for a dull thread.

A thread is as dull as it's posters after all.

Well said. I just don't see why the first post of a match thread should be given so much importance. If someone wants to show off some designing skill there - that's fine with me, if someone does not - don't see any reason to complain.

I think the first post of previous match threads were full of info, like coverage links, weather, pitch report, playing XI etc. Besides, the designs sctually spark the festive mood in the thread.

I think people are missing those luxury here. I blame KP. He spoilt us.
