CI: Salman Hossain's been holding the innings together, played some good strokes, but has been forced into defensive mode. Bangladesh will want him to go on and post a big one
He was into defensive mode from the word go. He should have been little more positive to avoid putting extra pressure on Soumya to score quickly.

100 up for us.

They should aim for around 210-220.

they're already at 4 an over...they should aim for 250 minimum, 275 if the big hitting works out down the order.

200 or 230 is not a defendable score against the afghans.....they have good batters ...so have to get t o260 or 270!

But Shoumya got out defending! He loses his wicket to offies pretty regularly, don't see how we can blame Salman here.

They have scored 33 runs in the last 10 overs. And the way both batsmen are playing with SR of 38 and 58, i hardly see them start hitting in the next 6-7 overs. Again, if those 2 batsmen get out within 40 overs, can't see later order banging from the start.

So, instead of targeting 250 now, they better target 220 first and if possible, push it to 240 mark.

As i write, Salman gone.

Salman succumbs in the 40s as well. Shoikot is next, I'll say after a 100 ball 41.

Aftab Alam to Salman Hossain, OUT, tries to dink a short ball, Tendulkar to Shoaib Akhtar 2003 World Cup-esque, but gloves it and just drops gently into the 'keeper's hands.End of a decent innings, just starting to open out and improvise he was

I am still hoping to see some late order hitting from Noor and Dewan, to give us a decent score.

Shabir Noori to Mosaddek Hossain, SIX, easy when you know how! Walks down the wicket, and just hoists one to the sightscreen. Good shot from a batsman whose looked good since he came in

is shamim doing commentary??

Nothing strange about that bro. That's the way them Elders work through their South Asian minions, at this time Sahara.
