Well, but then he will get it back too. Generally when someone is in contention, he doesn't lower his guards, so don't think form will be affected until he plays a few matches and goes into relaxed mode... Currently you can expect him to only improve, I'm sure he's learning a few things, just being with the team in practice sessions and sharing the dressing room. It's a good thing that he has been kept around.

So, have we seen enough of Liton's unlimited potential yet?

Hit 219 of 240 yesterday.. now averaging 50 in FC.. Rate him more than Nurul and Anamul. Dropped from the test side without reason.

Bogra.

Still 219 out of his team score of 360 odd and opposition only registering scores of 224 and 198 is pretty good going.

Really hope he makes a comeback to the test side.

I was shocked Nurul was picked over him for tests.

Hope to see Litton back in the mix again in the format that suits him the most ahead of mediocrity like Riad. Heck Litton has more potential than Sabbir and Soumya in this format

I wanted him back in the team for india, unfairly dropped from tests imo. I don't know how he manages to open the batting and keep wicket.

Actually opening the batting is more convenient if you your team is batting first then you play early and rest before keeping.

Batting second then it becomes a problem. Tbh it's not that big an issue. Gilchrist for example

Gilchrist didn't do it in tests, his normal position was 7, and anyway Gilchrist wasn't normal.

But as far as getting more rest, if your keeper is your opener and also one of your best bats, then he'll regularly being playing long innings anyway so won't get much of a break anyway and he'll probably play a few more bigger innings e.g. 200+ innings whereas down in the lower order over their entire career they'll more likely bat for less hours.

Can't think of a player who opened and kept over an entire test career.

Like I said he should never have been dropped from the Test team.

This musical chairs and random selections in Test matches is pissing me off.

Liton dropped without any reason based on his limited-overs form when his FC form never suffered.

18 year old Shanto getting a Test cap ahead of Mosaddek who is averaging more than double.

Rubel picked again in Tests ahead of Abu Jayed who has a 5-fer in each of his last five FC games.

Both the selectors and Hathuru need to stop this farce and get it together.

Speaking of mosaddek, he's at the crease, hoping he scores another big one.

Liton and mosaddek no doubt should be the next in line for any batting positions, no one else is close to them.

How they dropped Liton and played a 18 year old shanto in NZ (one has to debut some where no doubt but was it absolute needed to debut a 18 year old when you have a guy like Litton who only just had few test himself just made debut not so long ago?), Mossadekk has better fc stats, yet he still doesn't get the test nod, but somehow the genius selectors and team think tank thought Shanto would turn into Lara!

Get This Kid, into the side, theres a limit to idiocracy, Indian Bowlers are known to light up careers, this could be the break Litons Looking for

^ he wasn't entirely appalling in test cricket, had ok outings. Scoresd a 50, Averages 32.33 in 3 tests (which is still more than Mahmudullah). Selectors dropped him based on ODI not so good performances.
