Unleash this beast.. this is the right time. No need Riad for this format. Plus Shabbir at no 5.

No wonder Pak can't compete with us!
We need to start thinking about having different sets of openers in Tests and LOI's
Liton averages over 50 in FCs, could open in all formats probably, has a good strike rate so could be a good t20 batsman also.

Hopefully he will get picked for Test also regardless how he perform today. We badly need a goog opening partner for tamin in test.

The guy has a chance to play

Media: Could you give us some light on the possibility of Liton Kumar Das’s debut, since he had been seen practicing today?

Mushfiqur: If I feel 100 percent fit keeping-wise then there is a great possibility that I will keep wickets, but I will still wait till tomorrow’s warm-up. Liton Kumar is deserving of a place in the team, and that’s why he is in the 14-man squad. Even if he doesn’t get a chance to play tomorrow, I believe he will get his chance in the future and Bangladesh will get a very good keeper-batsman that’s what I believe.

Just wondering why so many fans want LKD as the Test keeper when he does not keep in FC cricket?!

How do people expect him to keep wicket and still be a top order batsman in the longer version matches? Is not that physically almost impossible?

Too many role reversal happening in our current team (batsmen getting picked for bowling and vice-versa), I hope the trend will stop.

some people go on about a certain such and such did well in domestic and he has to play other than a domestic failure. If that's the case, then this beast had to been in the side both test. Guy has been in beast form and yet his got no chance, has been carrying drinks whole series!

I think we favour those we feel right about, not looking at things wisely, from 360 angle.

Eye wash!

Hope Liton won't be sentimental like Al Amin.

Why bother putting him in the squad based on his FC form, yet picking Soumya for playing 11 based on his ODI form. When are we going to get out of the mentality that if they play decently in one form of the game, that must mean we have to include them in all forms of the game.

If mushy is worried about this kid then he must be pretty good you'd think, otherwise no reason to worry...

^ All it includes few stance he took while playing shots but does not really give us a whole picture. I was looking forward to a long clip rather than even just innings highlights. That could give an idea how he actually negotiates different kind of deliveries. Same goes for his glove work.

Anyway, thanks for the link.

Hopefully when he gets his chance he's still in good form, he's short of match practice atm.

Your doa kabul. Mushi is still injured. He should not keep wicket for God sake. Cmon Liton get ready for it.

And bfor the match in Khulna he said he had recovered quite well. So after so long he still recovering and not even close to full recovery. At the early stage of recovery with major pain he did not let Litton keep and in next 10 June when he might be 90% recovered how you can say he will let Litton/Anamul keep.
I think this time one should force him to do so.

Yes true, I don't see him giving it up voluntarily, unless the coach takes a decision.
