He is a shaky starter.

I think he should bat outside the crease against the new ball. His problem is the incoming ball.

in swinging conditions, Litton Das is a no-no until he rectifies that... even a hint of swing gets him undone.

Then again he can read the Wrong Un and was playing Mujeeb, Rashid , Chahal and Kuldeep with ease. There are good sides and bad sides.

Play him (Liton) at 7 instead of Ariful/Sabbir/Nasir etc for couple of years before promoting him to top order again. The ball won't move at that stage of the game and he can still handle freak bowlers like Rashid, Chahal and Kuldeep better than others.

Batting at 7 would also allow him enough time at international level to polish his offside game.

^ somehow am not surprised. This new players thinks that the team can't do without them. If you were a player like Tamim/Shakib/Mushfiqur By all means demand away. But when you can barely hold the bat, don't show arrogance.

Wow I actually thought Liton was one of the more quiet and sensible type of player. Very disappointed if this is true.

I don't think Liton said anything wrong. In fact he is right.

It just depends on the tone of how you picture him saying the words in your head.

The team management then wanted him to send him back to his usual position in Bangladesh’s home series against Zimbabwe, revealed a team source, even though Tamim was ruled out. But Liton refused to do it, showing the reason that since Mushfiqur Rahim took back his wicket-keeping job, he now should bat at top of the order.
I doubt the source of this information. Why would Liton say that Mushfiqur got back his wicket keeping job. When Liton opened in the Windies series it was Nurul Hasan who was keeping the wickets in both the tests.

When the selectors dropped Nurul from the Zimbabwe series and didn't pick any other opener other than Liton and Imrul, it was clear that Imrul and Liton were going to open in the Zimbabwe series.

Yeap agree. Tone makes a big difference. Also keep in mind that journalist in BD have a tendency to get carried away over nothing.

Irrespective of what he may or may not have said, it baffles me that players like Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman is not picked where as technically inept players like Mithun and Ariful is preferred.

Who told you? In 9/10 matches he is a walking wicket in test matches performances of odi kept aside as we can select him there. But bout test he and imrul are not there and no need to expose them as we already have better players instead he should try to learn something from kushi, tamim before stepping into tests again.

PS:- If rainman is somewhere around(I don't know his name here)
then I would like him to knoW thE facts first and then start blabbering cause seeing him exposed in that forum really hits my nerves and I cannot defend his pseudo statements there as they are completely baseless, if he is joking there then he may ignore this but if he is serious bout his statements then I am afraid, he is just letting us down. Being optimistic is really good but living in dreamland 24/7 cannot be accepted rainman, it's not just about 1 or 2 posts pls refrain from giving such statements.

I am not a big fan of Liton but don't know if he really said that. However he is not a top order batsman.

Had Liton scored a ton you people would be praising how gutsy he is, how ambitious he is.
To me he said the right thing.
He failed but his intentions were right.

You know what I find DISGUSTING? Some people still adhere to the fact the since player engage in physical activity they are somehow lower in the rung from the intellectual arena and prowess. F** ***!!!!!!!!!!!

How would you feel if I called out all the members Mijannia, Nasiffya, Zunaidyaa, Razabiaa, Tehsinniaa and called them in tui-tokkor?

Yet many of posters paaar peye jay because we STICK to the barbaric 630AD idea that if you are engaged in a sport or physical activty your status is lower.

TALK ABOUT CONDESCENSION.

Some people get educated yet still learn nothing and accumulate nothing in 50 years of time either living here in States or not.

STOP CONTROLLING PEOPLE.
STOP CONTROLLING OUR PLAYERS.

Treat others the way you like to be treated. REGARDLESS.

^ Back when black america was great and individualism prevailed. Now most are just in the democratic liberal plantation where group think prevails.

Zeeshan is right - LKD is free to chose what position he wants to play at and we should respect that choice. Calling him name was uncalled for, and I offer my public apology to LKD, if that matters.

However, imo, he should not be in the team if he is not flexible enough to conform to team strategy. This is not an individual sport where you do whatever you want to.
