Doesn't matter who you bring back anymore. Some of these guys think they are bigger than the team and they won't be dropped because there are no replacements, unfortunately.

It is so frustrating to be a fan of this team. Knowing that a win was there, but these professional cricketers lack the sense that anyone else would have. I honestly rate our players better than SL at the moment when it comes purely to ability in ODIs (apart from Sangakkara and Malinga). Unfortunately, they lack any common sense, and play like little kids.

Decent effort, opponent century and half-century, opponent make near 300, we have one half-century, few bowling successes, usual fielding boldami, a decent 200+ score, shommanjonok porajoy, back to 04-05 .........aar ki chai tai na,
Valo tho

I am not sure what are you trying to say.
How do you rate our player better than SL? They have the temperament to play an ODI like an ODI, not like our boys who think ODI can be played in the same manner as tests or T20.
And these boys are lacking the mentality to play cricket, so bringing a world class coach will do jack for them!
I signed my petition to strip them of tests and ban from ODI for 2 years. Screw it, this a pathetic showing.

What I mean to say is that our problem is not that we lack the talent to win, but the temperament like you said. We have seen them play well when they were motivated, but that wasn't there. I think the problem is the lack of a truly senior player or figure to guide these kids who are getting too cocky with their local fame. In all honesty, I don't think the players respect the coach, because his cricketing career has been shorter than theirs.

SL players are much better than ours in ODIs. They have played well and all credits to them. Dilshan, Sanga are proven players. Malinga and Kula are 1000 times better than our fast bowlers. Senanyeke is much better than Gazi. Mathews is a very good limited over players. Mendis is a very good spinner. I don't see how we are better than them.

After the first ODI this defeat didn't even hurt. Very sad. I almost didn't care about this match and don't about the 3rd ODI either. I just want the Asia Cup to start! This has been a horribly unlucky series for us.

From tests even in ODIs it is evident that what we lack is not talent. It is application and big match temperament.
