The extremely good news is Nasir has stepped up as a bowler. We are seriously underestimating his bolwing skills. He always had the talent, but looks like while he was away, he had honed up on his offies too. The last two matches he played, he was the one to get us back in the game with bowling. I believe he will be more effective in containing runs than Taijul or Sunny. He along with Riyad as 5th bowling options are better than taking Arafat or Taijul giving false hope with bowling. Sunny really couldn't put any pressure on England, neither could Taijul against NZ.
So have faith on Nasir as well as Riyad.

^ Plus, I can very well guarantee that Sunny or Taijul couldn't have played that six shot over long-off like Taijul, or Sunny. Mash, well, let us us just not burden him with power hitting during slog overs. Let him purely focus as a bowler.
I know I have been the one vocal for 7 batsmen, but my mind has changed based on the last few encounters and 8 batsmen is the way to go forward.

Either way, I am happy that we are taking on them instead of Saffers. The way Zimbabweans are tonking them, I see plenty of reasons to be hopeful.

indian bowling was never a threat although this WC is a complete different story. I wanted SA because with SA we know that they can't bowl or bat us out of the game if we play to our full potential. Problem with India is that they can bat us out of the game because of the flat pitch(yes no matter what its going to be a run feast) regardless of how we perform.

Nope, India is already group champion with 10 points from all 5 wins, and SA are done with their all 6 group matches with 8 points from 4 wins. So we are facing India.

Taylor and Sean Williams showed how you can accelerate against them in the middle overs. We will then need Shak to come to the part and help us get a 320ish total if batting first. If we bowl first, it is important for us to keep them under 300.
While us losing is still the most likely outcome, after the upward tick in the tournament so far, a win is viable. Heck if, as Hathuri agreed with me, Taijul didn't keep bowling one-two dross every over, we might have won yesterday too.

IMHO forget 320, 350 wont be enough, our only chance is if we bowl first and contain them under 300 or at max 310..then we'll have a match on our hand

I really don't buy this unhealthy obsession that Ind be able to chase down any total. SA or Aus have a better batting line up and I don't think this applies even to them.
If we get bowled out for 57, STILL, go out and bowl to defend it! Win or lose -play with no fear!

India cant chase down any total but against us on a flat track they can, and MCG qf match will be a flat track

But it won't be as flat as Mirpur or Fathullah! There will be some bounce

300 is more than enough to win this match.
Fans don't understand that it is not easy to chase in Australia and being a quarter final the pressure will be on India.

I think our only way to win this match is by batting first and scoring 280+. India has a formidable batting line up, but chasing under lights at MCG and against Mash-Taskin-Rubel-Shakib will be difficult.

Good like tiger cubs. I like you calling Mashrafe Sher Khan.
Boys will need to take lots of singles, convert singles into twos, twos into threes. Can't waste balls. Tamim, Imrul wastes lots of balls. Although Riad, Soumya and Sabbir have been scoring big, they are missing out on singles. Only Mushy and Shakib are taking good amount of singles. Length will be crucial for the bowlers. Although the pitch will have some bounce they can't get carried away and start bowling short. And most importantly, can't drop catches. Any of the top order Indian batsman can make us pay big time if given a life.
Hopefully boys will not be overwhelmed playing against the Bollywood millionaires and 80,000 screaming Indian fans.

I think picking the XI should be pretty straight forward for this match:
Tamim
Imrul (Lack of alternatives, should play Sarkar where he has been successful. This is not the match to experiment)
Sarkar
Riad
Mushy (he should bat before Shak)
Shakib
Sabbir
Nasir
Mashrafe
Rubel
Taskin
A 50 partnership from Tamim and Imrul will do us plenty of good. It's not too much to ask. They have played together a lot before.

Fml if Imrul and Tamim can't even handle Indian bowlers
