Tehsin, I don't like Italy's "catenaccio" style either. But, in their defence, they did try to attack quite a bit in this match, which created gaps that were exploited by Brazil.

Italy really gave it their all in the second half. It just wasn't meant to be. Brasil on the other hand were playing lazy football. Can't blame them, this match really didn't matter for them.

Though not as pleasantly shocking as our 3-0 victory against Argentina in Copa America in the mid 90s, this semi final victory is no less important. Whatever happened to Steve Sampson anyway? MLS?

Anyway, easily some of the best athletes in the world, American soccer players will always do better playing man-to-man and without fear.
