It's not looking good for him though as Shabbir has went ahead of him as a legspin allrounder.
And Farhad's there as the backup pace allrounder. In this format, pace allrounders are key. That being said, Milon or Babu seemed to be the better prospects than Farhad in T20's.

Agreed..but we do see Tamim and Shakib shine in T20 every now and then. We are waiting for Nasir to do the same. National team is not the place to get used to a format. I hope he realizes that soon. The sooner the better..

That's a bit unfair on Nasir. He scored a 50* not that long ago against Ireland. Even Shakib just has one 50 (that too against Ireland) in T20is.

Besides that 50* I don't recall anything significant from Nasir. Could be wrong though. And his SR is not something to be proud of. We depend a lot on him and his poor form is costing us games. hopefully he can lift his game up a bit against NZ. And I was talking about his T20 ability only..

Let's look at some Strike Rates in T20Is (now that we've played a fair few):
Tamim Iqbal - 100.23
Md. Ashraful - 126.10
Shakib al Hasan - 113.10
Mushfiqur Rahim - 104.71
Nasir Hossain - 116.51
Mahmudullah - 85.12
Ziaur Rahman - 170.00
So, of our top and middle order, Nasir has the third best strike rate in T20Is. He may not look like the type of player who can belt a ball all over the park but somehow he gets the job done - and he clearly does it on the big, international stage rather than in warm-up or domestic T20s. Yes, his form is a concern but evidence of the past year indicates that he comes good, more often than not.

Yeah apparently he does get the job done but his current form is a major concern. And the sooner he gets his form back the better. And that was the point I was trying to make
I've never questioned Nasir's inclusion and talent. I did raise a finger at his T20 form and wanted Alok in the XIV since he is a better hitter of the ball.( Now I don't want him in place of Nasir but think Alok can have a place in our T20 XIV ) But thanx for the stats. I had no idea that his SR is that high..
