Watched Captain Marvel.
It was quite average, it lacked those Epic Marvel moments, also in superhero or any action movies I think a super villain makes it more exciting, like Thanos or Wilson Fisk or the Joker.
The villain here was very weak, even in Aquaman the villain was not very strong but that movie had so much more to enjoy.

Aquaman 0/10: atrocious costume design, terrible cheesy dialogue and bad acting, terrible CGI. Only redeeming factor was Amber Heard.

Captain Marvel 7/10: an opportunity missed. Tried to be too many things but ended up giving less time to any of the characters to fully develop and connect with the audience.

Alita 9/10: finally an anime adaptation that was well done. The CGI was beautiful and the character development was great. Christoff waltz did a fantastic job.

Aquaman: full of cheesy anime style 1-liners, every single dialogue in the film was unbearable and I audibly cringed throughout the film. It's essentially an extremely similar plot to Black Panther with the roles reversed between the good guy and the bad guy.

3/10

Captain Marvel: I didn't like the way they wrote her character and Brie Larson on this movie. She is this god-tier over powered super hero and is very hollow and robot like personality (kind of like Dr. Manhattan or Superman from Batman v Superman *vomits* ). Her role was boring. I didn't feel like I cared for Captain Marvel throughout the film or could connect with her like I can on many other superhero movies. But Samuel L Jackson did an outstanding job, his best ever appearance as Nick Fury for sure.

5/10.

Shazam: Liked it, Deadpool/ Guardians of the Galaxy-style super hero movie. This was actually the first good DCEU movie. Surprised. The villain was a meh...

7/10

Waiting till there is a slowdown for the Avengers as getting decent seats is currently not possible.

My local cinema has one showing every 15minutes and all full.

Not sure if it’s genuinely related but saw a mov enter Bashundhara City complex apparently to grab tickets.

Don’t spoil the movie. It’s worth watching. Good finish.

I will wait until Ramadan finishes. Almost all super hero movies, good guys win at the end.

But why deprive yourself? Why not just watch it and find out.

If it was a hindi/Bangla movie, i could just say that in the end the Nayika gets to marry the nayok and lives happily ever after. Dont even have to watch the movie and still be correct.

Okayish film. Esp first part of the film was full of cringe-worthy moments. Suddenly hearing these guys talk about life and hardship. That was hard to watch. Only thor & hulk is watchable during that part.

Movie gets better as it progress though. But still, you can easily guess what will happen next.

Recently I watched the full seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm, an HBO series. Super fun. The main character was the original writer of Sinfeld. I recommend if you like comedy.

Another one is Silicon Valley, this was a great fun to watch as some of the stuffs shown here I could directly relate to.

I also watched a Dark comedy series of Prime, did not enjoy much, it is called Arrested Development.

Forget to mention the recent thriller series What If of Netflix. It is 1 season and probably you can finish it through binge. Very intense. The only weak link is the poor acting of the mother of the Male Surgeon character, but it comes way later in the story. Other than that a story well told with cursory but intelligent dialogues.

Godzilla 0/10
Tried to do too many things. Very little time for any acting. The one liners and the overall script was horrible. Non sensical plot and poor monster design. Felt like i was watching a cartoon. 2014 one was much better than this crap.

If you are not even in Hindi movies, I would still recommend you watch Kesari movie. The ending might seem a bit melodramatic but the gripping tension with subtle humor added to excellent acting of the crew will make you feel a time well spent. Good thing is it is based on true story and at times good to go back in touch to our legacy.

The other Hindi movie I am at midway is Udaan. It is also an award winning movie and seems to be going good so far.
