has anyone noticed 12 men are being used in this match - what is the deal with that? I was wondering how bangladesh's batting was so stacked (at least on paper) and realized we have an extra batsman (so one of the bowlers won't bat or what?). It's 57/3 and there are several batsmen to go - this is very strange.
One thing Whatmore can analyze is the pulled shots. Ashraful and Bashar kept pulling 4s and 6s until Bashar pulled one too many. Ashraful said something in the papers about not pulling or playing shots until he got to 25. Right now he has the quiet Al-Shahriar Rokon on the other end, these two will probably go in a blaze of glory....

No Amit
It's not Queensland.....if it were Queensland, Bangladesh would be 6/35
This is the Queensland Acadamy.....with a few Queensland batsman and Acadamy bowling so don't claim that you're beating Queensland

James, that cant be. If BD have to struggle 6/35 against Queensland, then imagine against Australia ...10/20?
We both know that wont happen.

Raana Bhai!
We are playing Aussies in Aussieland!!!! Anything can happen...especially with our brittle batting and their fearsome and lethal bowling attack. Of course, hopefully not 20 all out, which will probably cost us all our away tours immediately.

Practice match: BD vs Queensland - Day 2
The match has been delayed 15 minutes to dry the outfield from heavy overnight dew.
For live update,
The dew is a bad news for us. This will favor the bowlers untill it dries up. Lets hope, we can defend a batting collaps.

Funny comms!!!
53.3 Nash to Alok Kapali, FOUR, short and drop kicked over the midwicket infield
drop kicked
What is drop kick? Is that on the half volley? Probably the comm guy is more into soccer!

I just need....
a first innings lead. No matter how slender that is....even one run is fine with me...probably this is the only opportunity BD is gonna get in the whole to grab the honors of first innings!
160/6 Lunch time score....
Not bad but could have been better..ah well!!

well at least we are tied, you got your wish.
seems like the problems have been narrowed down to just a couple of things in this game - pull shots and sujon's place on the test team. off all the sub-10 innings we had, his one was most annoying.

LOL...y did we declare after a 2 run lead?????
Maybe we're being good sports since we're playin 12 players with an extra batsman. But it was funny nevertheless. We finally got a lead for once!!!!!!

It was a good idea to declare because this is a three day game and we are trying to maximise practice. No point wasting precious time giving Monju batting practice. Having 12 players has nothing to do with it. They have12 players as well. Anyway, I think it was a smart move.

James, u are thinking more like me
I would have thought the same like u when BD would have toured India. Even I would have said - "India will bowl out BD for less than 50".
I dont think u should make so much fun of BD. BD 6/35 against Queensland - tell me are Queensland better than Aus. I am sure u have an Indian connection.

176 all out
Anwar picked up the rest 2.
Now BD needs 175. Lets hope we dont get the famous BD batting collaps.
We can do this.

BD require 124 runs, 6 wickets and 59 overs remaining
Golla out for 0
Sumon out
Ashraful out - RUN OUT
Rokon out - Caught & Bowled
Hannan Sarkar is batting, Kapali, Sanwar, Pilot - the 3 specialist batsman remaining (we can all assume Pilot a specialist batter now).
It seems that the Queens Academy is still a strong side for Bangladesh.

crash warning
Hannan the idiot is still in the crease and that just means more misery for us I am afraid. After Sumon we needed someone stable like Ash and then a partner like Kapali to build something. This idiot always jsut hits a few knocks and then gets out or jsut hangs by a thread till he falls off his own stupidity. never settles or let anyone else settle. I'm just so pi**ed at this guy now, so many times he let BD down. I can take Golla's gollami, he plays sensibly and has proven comebacks. But nothing short of a 30+ from Hannan should keep him in the next game. This situation now has all the signs of a familiar meltdown. I will be surprised if we can even make it close.
