High Weirdness: EFLI
American football in South Asia with teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan! Life is stranger than fiction!
Quote:
The Elite Football League of India (EFLI) is the first men's professional American football league in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. When play begins in late 2012, there will be ten teams located in various cities across India, one in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and one in an unnanounced city in Bangladesh. The EFLI will be South Asia's first professional American football league, and its launch is backed by both the Government of India and the Sports Authority of India.

Sorry Middle school. 12/13 year olds would run faster, definitely stronger, and nth time more skilled. They know the playbook of a professional team from PSP and other gaming devices.
We lose Kabadi to unknowns. Water polo to Saudi Arabia. Mopping the bottom of the table, I see no problem.
Body builders and wrestlers, that is the scouting place. HHS!!

I think there'll be quite a few North American players on the rosters, mainly NFL, CFL and NCAA rejects. Interesting that Dhaka has been designated as a franchise city but nobody knows about it here! I think the woman behind this bizarre effort hasn't even started talking to people here yet. Good luck reserving the BNS for that team.

Are you serious? It will be funny to watch though. I hope it happens for the sake of pure comedy.
