I don't think coaches can make a big difference.

Why go to school then? Teachers can never teach you anything!

Nazmul should be given more chances at least in the ODIs! He may not be a wicket taking bowler, but he can at least dry up the runs when needed.

Guys - please give Shane the same courtesies we gave Ian and Julien and take discussions on who should be picked or not or who is good or useless for another thread. Please use this thread to interact with the coach fully well realizing he cannot answer specific queries.

Like those two coach threads, this thread too will be more rigorously moderate.

maybe the case in your country where coaches come and go regularly. If you give them time they will shine

For example SIddons started his: Improve player performance. In 2008, he hardly seemed effective but by 2010 players like Tamim and Sakib became big performers just as Siddons wanted.

Coach, how much situational visualization do our bowlers engage in practice? Examples such as 10 runs off 5balls - and you have a tail-ender batting vs. you have a proper batsman.

I ask because while I'm sure the bowlers do practice bowling specific types of deliveries, from an arm-chair perspective, it seems at match situation there is not enough thought process evident from our bowlers, especially the pacers. This in turn would seem to indicate that strategic visualization or game-planning is not something that is practiced.

On a more general cricketing note, what do you make of the Pakistani spin attack? They seem be much faster through the air and rely on mystery, quickerER deliveries rather than flight, loop and drift.

Coach, how are our SLA's (Enamul Jnr, Shakib, Razzak, Sunny's, Sajib, Samad, Apu, Shuvo) compared to SLA's of other countries like Michael Beer, Xavier Doherty, Paul Harris, Panesaar, and so on.

Do you think our SLA's would get a chance in those leagues?

Question to the coach:
2nd test 5th day: while Sohag was going to have an opportunity to have a hattrick, we saw fielders surrounding the batsman (#8). A slip, a leg slip, WK, silly point, silly mid-on. Basically crowding in the batsman's face. Very good strategy. I believe because of that Sohag got the hattrick.

My question is 1) why similar line of approach wasn't made in 1st innings to the 11th batsman?
2) in future tests (the second one and beyond) would we see crowding the batsmen from 8 and above? Please explain why?
