I tried to join the Facebook group mentioned here but I still have not been accepted by them.

More updates:
The room now strangely feels like a prison cell. Don't ask me how I know but that is the very first feeling evoked in me when I laid down. The bed is uneven and the pillow and sheets are almost exactly the same as the pen. Very strange... or not, for the price, I'm not complaining.

It's 1935 and I'm about to take an Uber to Nirob Hotel for dinner. I read it's famous here.

Still anxious to check out the rural areas but need to narrow it down to someplace specific.

Default Welcome to BC

I am not sure the location you are at you will find what you are looking for (Kroger type stores). Unimart in Gulshan 2 - You will get everything.
https://www.facebook.com/UnimartBD

As for experiencing the culture you have to get out of Dhaka. If your origin is Bangladesh then go to desh'er bari - wherever it is.

This is what I had for dinner last night. Not worth the 2.5 mile (one way) walk imo. I'm going to trek to Gulshan today.

Desher bari means 'village', doesn't it? I would assume there are plenty here.

Question. Was the nick banglastudent taken? I mean doesn't it bother you you couldn't get the 't' at the end of your nick?

With the 't', the nick was over the limit, unfortunately.

Is it ok to chat up the opposite sex in Bangladesh, I remember in Malaysia I ran into an issue when I tried to shake hands with a girl. She informed me that women are not to be touched by strangers in Islam. I'd like to avert any misunderstandings.

Yes, you can talk to girls especially in Dhaka/the city. We're not as fundamentalist as other Muslim countries.

This doesn't prove anything. Since you like to give update ie blog.. why don't you just start bloggin in this thread with pictures and dates. For example an uber ride to nirob with multiple pics while driving uber to nirob to food would be more apt. Better do some videos but still multiple pics that can tell a real story would be believable...

My troll sense is tingling... The questions that you are asking are borderline retarded. Is it ok to talk to girls? Who the f are you? This is 2017.... u went to a country to learn a language and its culture and u ask a stupid *** question like that...

and we are all playing with this nonsense....

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and would love to read your blog that is more professional and with more believable data...

till then this is just hinges on trolling really...

What a joke... I think caught red handed with that picture where the damm lungi is hanging..
So this guy(username) is missing since then in this thread where he was posting so often..Maybe felt from previous experience that he is just on the verge of getting banned again..

I am eagerly waiting for the next episode..

if it is the same guy we have to stop feeding to this.... I mean to waste so much energy just to get some attention.... I guess you can still go to those type of restaurants being a visitor but we all like to see more concrete proof. Because things dont make sense,.

you act like a baller calling uber then eat in diarrhea inducing restaurants... questionable judgement...

YOu visit foreign countries by yourself yet ask in the forum on how to talk to girls... outgoing ppl who visit other countries don't have any problem with social life.

This just gets me... he is social enough to convince some market shop owner to have access to his wifi all within 24 hours of moving from one hotel to another and then documenting it here but not smart enough to figure **** out on his own that he asks us (ppl living outside the country)...

Please shut me up with concrete evidence.. I beg you...
