we only announced the squad for the first two Odis.
today/tomorrow the selectors will announce the squad for the 3rd ODI and may be the T20s too.
after squad we can start posting our teams.
anyway i guess today we will see the same team.
may be in the 3rd match, naeem, afif and some others will get a go

Thank GOD armchair critics like you don't run the show. I was a critique of Tamim but at least I don't drop players willy-nilly at the drop of a hat.

For 3rd ODI, I would choose,
Tamim - Naim - Liton+ - Shanto - Afif - Mithun - Saifuddin (c) - Taijul - Miraz - AlAmin - Fizz
Keeping Tamim to boost his confidence. Other than that all seniors can rest. Time for Saifuddin to step ahead.

If Saifuddin has no injury scares, he should play. But if there is any doubt, we should be safe with him.
I believe Saif will be a gamebreaking player for us. I love his bowling, and he is our best seam bowling batter that we have produced so far. No reason why he can't be a poor man's Ben Stokes.

This was hardly a willy-nilly or spur of the moment choice. The way Tamim played during WC'19 and how the trend of his LOI career has been for last decade or so, wise choice would have been to start looking for his replacement in LOI. The Zim ODI series was the perfect opportunity to try out Naim. Despite his one innings wonder (and considering it's against Zim), I still think it's a mistake to select Tamim for LOI matches this series.
Look at India's example - when they realized Sachin-Sehwag were nearing their ends, they used matches against us and Zim to groom fringe players of that time like Rohit Sharma. I remember one time India even lost the series to Zim. But in the longer run, they got far greater dividend from those fringe players that toured Zimbabwe.
Unfortunately our selectors, and majority of our fans, are still stuck with minnow mentality, and are unwilling to take any such chance.

Since SS is in rest Tamim. Also he can be captain if Saifuddin will be a too early experiment

Lol suddenly Tamim is a permanent fixture for the next 10 years because of a ton on home soil against a deadbeat Zim side.
