The selectors deserves some credit as well. According to Naeem, 2 months ago Akram told him to play at no.4 position in NCL. So this shows they were thinking of him of Naeem specifically at number 4 after he did well with WI HP and DPL.

I have been meanIng to say this for a while. I agree that they might be bad selectors but please don't insult their playing careers. Akram might have been a pretty bad batsman but Nannu was pretty good and they didn't have the facilities of today to back them up. So was Bashar, he might have been a bad batsman in ODIs but he was certainly one of the most consistent in tests. He scored a fifty in almost every innings. Players like Bulbul, Athar, Nannu, Bashar,Pilot( was considered to be one of the best keepers in international cricket) were definitely more consistent than Alok, Aftab and Ashraful and they worked on their game without the help of any fancy coaches or equipments at their disposals.

We scored 500+ without JS and SN..and.still you think we need to remain in defensive mode? Can't we easily take out one of them and add one more bowler? Another specialist bowler can contribute much more towards attack to win matches. That also increases the balance of the team.

Chumma chumma ... dui gale dui chumma for selecting Shohag and Naeem and keeping Nasir and trusting on Ryiad.

Now next game if some how you can add Sunny and Anamul/Mominul, then more chumma is waiting for you.

Just take out Nafees and Zunaid, get in Enamul/Sunny and Anamul - you are set to beat the best squad in Bangladesh cricket history.

The selectors' doesn't understand that these new generations tigers are very different than theirs!

Take out the likes of Zunaid weeds, have two specialist spinners for all the time in tests (as our pacers are not that effective in Test), you would see much better results. Being defensive will take us nowhere.

JS contributions in 1st test : 7 runs , dropped three catches (more to come) , selectors still thinking about unchanged eleven for the 2nd test !! Give me a BREAK !!!

I think Rubel bhai meant unchanged squad of 15. Anamul wasn't part of that 15. So JS might get dropped and be replaced by any of the 3 in the bench (Nazim/Abul/Sunny).

I hope Mufi is right!

If Zunaid and Nafees does well while we are batting tomorrow, I will still take out one of them and replaced with Sunny. And replace Shahadat with Abul - let's see how he does?

Abul can't do worse than Shahadat!!

I sometimes dont understand the hate towards Shahadat... For ODI's he is not the answer but for Test he is the best and the most successful pace bowler we ever had... his stats still sucks but he is the best we got. Performed better than mash when the two played together.

The dropped catch by Junaid was a costly miss TBH. After that miss they got nearly a 200 run partnership. Otherwise we could have got a target around 150.

Selectors cost us another game. Keep it up. We will NEVER move forward with this group of idiots selecting our team.

Totally agreed with you. There is illogical hate against him.

They declared the squad for 1st test just 2 days before the game. What was the rush that they had to declare the squad for 2nd test 1 week before the game ??

Can we blame the selectors for some rush shots that was played by few morons in the team knowing that they are in the squad already ?

Show a little gratitude people! They delivered a 500+ run test innings and took us to the brink of a memorable test victory against a mighty West Indian side led by a Best pacer on a pace friendly minefield. Sure, having Nazza!, Rocky, ShuVo, Mehrab "Junior" and The Abul in the starting lineup would've been ideal, but the world ain't perfect, is it now?

Dead weight like Shakib, Tamim and Mushfiq have friends in high places and it ain't easy doing the right thing under those circumstances.

One must focus on the Akherat to stay sober from the allures of the Duniya.
