May be it's not a bad thing for Rasel that he is made to force his way back into the national team through this A-team tour. I think he will come back stronger.

Saleh is gone for a cheap score, as I expected. I think this tour will provide us a firm proof how useless he is on seaming tracks.

Pathetic. All limited players. This tour should give us a clear indication about who has it in terms of technical ability to play in foreign conditions. If we can find about maybe one or two players from this trip for the future, I am content with that. Process of elimination as I call it.

My five year old can crush them in ludoo. He gets sixes like anything. With my strategy we are unbeatable. So if they want try that better luck next time baba'ra amar.

You mean Naeem Islam ? He is a middle order batsman. Are you picking on him because his name rhymes with Belim ? Lame.

i missed half of the match. they way two batsman got out, all i can say is "shocking".

Ireland batted first only to score 159 runs. all the bowlers bowled well specially Robin who took 5 wickets. Bangladesh is struggling at the moment with 28 for 2. Both the openers (Junayed & imrul) are gone. Soft dismissal. Junayed played few lovely shot before getting out and Imrul scored a duck. Both of the dismissals were exactly same. due to the slowness of the wickets both batsmen played little early and end up with soft dismissal.

There's a rain break at the moment and rajin(6) and faisal(4) are at the crease.

I had breif chat with Syed Rasel and Nadif. Especially nadif, who is a nice guy. we talked about different aspect of life and he may not be as gifted as Chanderpaul but he wouldn't be any less polite than him. He was wasn't picked today and he made me promise not to tell anyone about it. but without seeing him play, i have become his fan.

Rasel bowled really well who was struggling with injury couple of months ago. got only a wicket but conceded only 15 runs in his 10 overs.

Match summary so far

Ire A- 159
Strydom 41, Thompson 28*
Rasel - 10-4-15-1
Roblin- 16.3-1-57-5
Nazmul-8-2-29-1
Shuvro-11-2-29-1
Sunny-7-1-14-1
Islam-2-1-3-1

Bangladesh A
43/3
junayed 9
Imrul 0
Saleh 6
Faisal 5*
naeem 16*

according to rasel, pitch was slow, and there wasn't any movement off the seam. our batsman should have just stay there. only problem they had is the cold and the intermittent rain

i am not saying this just because i have a scoop its because the way he made me promise. he is a nice kid and i wish him the best.

it was kind of slipped out. rasel was talking and he just told me. rasel has got flue. he had back problem and the mattress was soft so he decided to sleep on the floor and end up getting cold. he bowled only 10 overs but in 3 spell. he said he wanted to bowl few more overs

Thanks Murad for the info.
It seems very unfortunate...he is not in England bound team!

cheers sovik for the effort and info. bit of a dismal start to the batting for the BD boys, bowling looks alright, good stuff from robin and rasel by the look of it. this is just the first batting innings, disappointing from imrul and junaid but hopefully they can fix things later on. a bit disappointed rubel hossain isn't playing.
