Default Bangladesh A and Bangladesh U-19 Tour of England 2013

www.ecb.co.uk/stats/fixtures-results

Just seen the fixture list. I'm hoping to go to at least 2 Bangladesh A matches and 2 Bangladesh U19 matches.

Yes great news! our last tour in 2009 was very good. But for our A tour, we need to send these players - Anamul, Mominul, Nasir, Shahriar, Rahim, Mahmudullah, Marshall, Abul, Shafiul and Rubel. The rest our youths. We need to learn to play on these seaming wickets.

The under-19 team are playing one-day are but not so sure about the A team tour. But regardless, we need to make sure that we send our best players in the A tour so they can gain as much experience as possible in these conditions especially those who struggle on seaming, swinging conditions so they can come back much better.

A team should have played a couple of 3 or 4-dayers even if only against a county 2nd XI. but maybe that late in the summer the FC season is over.

I dont see any point. Its time for next batch of cricketer. Marshall,Soumya,Liton and co. Result does not matter. Its the experience those player will get.

For A team I would pick players who are under supervision of Richard McInnes plus few of the young guns from current squad.

Batsmen

Nasir Hossain (Captain) Need a senior player to lead the team. Still young and did not have enough experience in England.

Enamul Haque Bijoy
Mominul Haque Shourav
Asif Ahmed Ratul
Marshall Ayub (must reward him for an excellent year)
Soumya Sarkar (did not do anything special but still take him, handy seam bowling AR in England)
Sabbir Rahman Roman (He is special, dont give up on him)

Mohammad Mithun (WK)

Spinner

Sohag Gazi (OB)
Murad Khan (SLA) Took 25 wickets in 4 match
Saqlain Sajeev or Arafath Sunny

Seam Bowlers

Abul Hasan Raju
Alamin Hossain
Alauddin Babu
Kamrul Islam Rabbi

I could have considered TaZkin but he will be leading u-19 bowling attack. And I think we have few part time spinners in our batting line up.

So who likes my new look A team without the national discards.

Check again. Enamul's dad said in a TV interview he is not Anamul. As a fan we can change that for him by keep referring as Enamul. We are the voice of internet and you know better about the power of internet Mr Maysun.

This is not a BCB forum. Would be better if you mail them instead...

Anamul is already in the National team and in playing 1 and doing well, why should he be in A team too? Let another guy get that slot....i

Because he needs as much experience as possible playing against good opposition in overseas/difficult conditions. He will likely learn much more playing on a seaming track than on the dead pitches back in BD. Also it's not uncommon for newcomers and other players who have not cemented there place in the National team to play for the A side.

I'd also like to see Ziaur Rahman in the side to test him in ODIs.

If he needs A team experience then keep him in A team...it doesn't help a player playing in A team, after coming into national team, unless he is a struggling member and needs to prove his inclusion, it doesn't help. Rather it harms ... Because he won't play with any motivation with an inferior side, while his mind is ready to take the National teams than A teams.....

Bangladesh doesn't play enough A team games to keep players there. And like I said it's not uncommon for National team players to play for the A side, it happens everywhere, just take a look in past England Lions and Australia A squads.
I don't really agree with what you say about motivation but even if that were true I wouldn't call the England Lions in England an inferior side (in Bangladesh maybe, but not in England). If any Bangladeshi players think they are too good to be playing against genuine quick pacers on English pitches then they are in for a big surprise. England has great depth in quick quality bowlers at the moment.
