Default As I Requested

Mohammad Ashraful has stepped up.

Quote:
The senior Ashraful needs to step up and needs to do it now, he has been stripped of the pressure of captaincy, no reason why he shouldn't be producing. If he doesn't produce here, I think he just needs a drop to sort his issues out. I think Ashraful believes he is irreplaceable, which has some truth to it. But maybe if 2-3 guys could Domestically put some pressure on him, then maybe he would put his head down and bat. If I'm not mistaken he's done well under pressure in the past.
Ashraful sensed pressure on him, he sensed his vital role in the team, and he has stepped up. Its in him now to be consistent, how many times have we seen a touch of brilliance, followed by nothing afterwards.

No doubt bro, this is how Ashraful needs to stay at the crease and execute the job! He needs to do his job!
Very well done on the first ODI vs. Zimbabwe!

ashraful has had a couple of periods where he's been consistent within a few matches, only time will tell whether this time is different to those other couple of times.

btw raqib and shakib make a good partnership as well.

Hope that Ash will try very hard to end his inconsistency. He is a good batsman when he gets ticking, but tend to give his wicket away too quickly, he also has to overcome his impatience and wait for the right balls which I believed that he did in this innings.

I'm not knocking Ash as I love it when those Eid innings come and if it helps BD I am all for it. I hope this is the begining of a new focused mature Ashraful and not one of his 'this is why you should not drop me innings' as he reverts back to <25 scores until the call for his head rises again.

I expect SN, AA & AK to put the pressure on TI, JS, Ash & Rokib to keep their spot on the national team and hopefully that will be a good thing for BD with more consistant performance and availability of players to step up when out of form or injuries occur.

I am not sure if you guys saw his batting or not... but he did 2/3 times at least what and how he got out in WI 2 st odi and against IR. he just poked at the ball in the slips but luckly it didn't went to the slips or WK. so either he has learned to play that stupid shot very well or he is just lucky.

If its the last one I think we will go in to with out score against big teams.

if its the 1st one then he should stop playing it or else end up with no score with big teams...

so either way I don't see great future yet for him...

Kabir bhai, he played it when there was no slip in place. Many batsmen tend to play that shot when theres no slip.

But Ash has a tendancy to play that shot even when there is a slip, multiple slips or even right after he has been dropped and given a life.

That was only in the first Test match. He didn't play it in the 2nd Test and in the ODIs.

its good to see some one in the team is taking responsibility. Its not any more one man show. Just wondering what khaled mahmud sujon has done to them?i know he is a great motivator.

i thought junaed's place is kind of shaky but he is consistent with medium score.

I thought Utseya played too defensive of a field setting. It allowed us to take singles and keep the run rate above 6 quite easily for the chase. Same issue I had with Bashar and Ash's captaincies.

Thats where I got surprised by IRE in the WC T20. Their understanding of the game and how to play it has improved remarkably.

I agree but I think the keeper was staying behind so it could have went to him too...

beside when you got out like that couple time shouldn't you stop playing that?

My next request is consistency. Not consistent centuries. He isn't Bradman.

Ash already got more ODI century than Bradman and Sobers combined
