The event took place in the second Innings in the 3rd and final test at Multan where Bangladesh lost the test by 1 wicket.

Earlier, Bangladesh enjoyed a 1st innings lead of 106 runs (BD: 281, Pak: 175) which sent shock waves to the host camp. Pakistan were panicing as the lead continued to expand.

Kapali retired hurt and bleeding profusely when he was on 17 at score 71/4 and came back bravely when the score was on 77/5.
