I remember reading about this match in DS, this was a classic chase. May be this guy is not consistent but his fighting spirit needs to be praised.

CCS -GAZI TANK
Kapali returned to the dressing room as the ninth batsman out, leaving his team to score 14 runs from last eight balls to chase down 278. The match reached an exciting position when Gazi required three runs from the last ball but Syed Rasel could manage only one by pushing the ball to mid-off and his attempt for a second run to tie the match went in vain as Robiul caught him short of his ground.
After Mohammad Mithun's 73, Kapali took the charge and smote five sixes and three boundaries during his 69-ball stay.
Earlier CCS put up a challenging total thanks to three half-centuries from Shuvagoto Hom (89), Atiqur Rahman (62) and Nazmul Hossain, who put the bowlers to the sword during his hurricane knock of 50 off 20 balls that contained four boundaries and as many sixes.

Seriously guys, what does this guy have to do to prove he is the biggest hitter in Bangladesh? I remember one of his six actually flew out of of Bangandhu Stadium (who the heck has done that everr). Please atleast take him in our t20 squad, this guy is a genious. Hell, I would pay just to watch him in domestic matches, I can't wait for his debut in t20s.

Actually he was in selectors mind but he lost his form after the Six-A-Side tournament in Hong Kong. He was pretty average in last few leagues before this one.

74 of 42 balls against Prime
61 of 36 ball against Biman in Super league
He does have some hitting power. I think he is not up to the mark with his pace bowling otherwise he should play at least T20 cricket for Bangladesh

Yeah, his bowling is not much to consider. But then again, with Shakib and Naeem in the team, we can afford to have a specialist batsman at #7 or #8 (in the T20I) for his big hitting ability alone.
We have other options such as Shabbir, Alok, Reza, Dollar, etc to consider, but Milon should be also in the reckoning in the A-team/academy set-up.

Thanks for compiling the stats jisaan. His strike rate of 136.33 would probably be the highest in this season'e DPL! When are we playing the next T20? Would love to see him make the side.

a strike rate of 130-odd is highly admirable in t20 too let alone 50 over matches.

I opened this thread almost 4 years ago when I had no clue about Milon.
He is still playing and hitting those big shots. It shows he is not fluke when it comes to big hitting.

I'm surprised Milon hasnt made a bigger name for himself by now. I've always felt he was the most talented slogger in the country. I was sure he'd have at least played a T20I by now. If he keeps this up, its only a matter of time...
