Default Top 5 uncapped Bangladeshi in DPL 2011/2012

In my previous thread I wrote about Top 5 Bangladeshi in DPL 2011/2012. In the list there were many players from the current team as well as those who represented the country. I thought that, it would be great if we could make a list outside of the pool. Also, I have a wish to prepare a capped vs. uncapped 11 based on the performance of this year's DPL. Here goes the statistics for uncapped players who you might want to have a close eye in near future for our national team:

Top 5 batsman:

Highest Runs:
Marshal Ayub - 554 (from 14 innings)
Shamsur Rahman - 507 (from 16 innings)
Ziaur Rahman - 474 (from 16 innings)
Mominul Haque - 391 (from 16 innings)
Mahmudul Hasan - 382 (from 13 innings)

NB: Most of you might be interested to know the performance of Anamul and Asif. They are right at 6 and 7. Anamul scored - 372 from 16 innnings and Asif scored 359 from 13 innings.

Highest Average (Minimum 300 runs scored):
Marshal Ayub - 39.57 (554 runs)
Faisal Hossain - 38.78 (349 runs)
[I am not sure whether this guy is Dickens, if he is then he should not be here. But I think, I saw different Faisal Hossain playing in BPL.]
Nazmul Milon - 38.75 (310 runs)
Mahmudul Hasan- 34.73 (382 runs)
Shamsur Rahman - 33.80 (507 runs)

Highest Strike rate (Minimum 300 runs scored):
Nazmul Milon- 92.81 (310 runs)
Ziaur Rahman - 86.03 (474 runs)
Mominul Haque - 82.49 (391 runs)
Asif Ahmed - 81.22 (359 runs)
Mahmudul Hasan - 76.40 (382 runs)

Top 5 bowler:

Highest Wickets:
Arafat Sunny - 27
Al-Amin - 24
Alauddin Babu - 22
Nabil Samad - 21
Abul Hasan - 19

Best Economy rate(Minimum 15 wickets taken):
Arafat Sunny - 3.65 (27 wickets)
Nabil Samad - 3.98 (21 wickets)
Shohag Gazi - 4.03 (16 wickets)
Sanjamul Islam - 4.09(15 wickets)
Monir Hossain - 4.17(16 wickets)

Best Avg(Minimum 15 wickets taken):
Alauddin Babu - 17.73 (22 wickets)
Arafat Sunny - 18.63 (27 wickets)
Nur Hossain - 20.22 (18 wickets)
Nabil Samad - 21.52 (21 wickets)
Robiul Islam Robi - 22.53(15 wickets) [He is not the ex national pacer]

Excellent work Fuad.

Looks like Marshall Ayub is trying to make a comeback. Arafat Sunny suffers for being yet another SLA and the selectors love Razzaq.

[I wonder when that FB page will steal this post]

Anamul has been disappointing. Despite the assurances from people who have seen him up close, I am not sure he is ready to go yet. I have no problem with him being with the team and recieving coaching from the NT coaches but I think we may be rushing him into international cricket. I'd have sent him to the U19 Asia Cup rather than the tri-series tbh. I don't think he is suited to the T20 format. He got bogged down way too often in the BPL and got forced into playing rash strokes.

Arafat Sunny impressive once again. I too am getting swayed into thinking Arafat > Elias at least in the limited-overs formats.

Way too much unwarranted criticism of Razzak. He has bowled better than Shakib in the last two series.

Hmmm. Perhaps Shakib should be dropped.

You want Shakib dropped? Why's that?

He needs a break.

But seriously, back on topic - I agree that Razzaq has been great form in recently in the short form.

I've followed Arafat sunny in 2 bpl matches where he opened the bowling and was very economical. I guess he can perform for national team . At least he should play couple of matches for NT so we can have him around the team as part of stand by pool.

We actually have too many spinners with almost same calibre. I believe you can replace razzak with enamul, Arafat, Elias and or vice versa with little or no impact.
Regarding anamul, his stat with runs, avg or strike rate is not much outstanding . I can see Mahmudul Hasan doing better in all those three attributes and played 3 matches less than others. He captained under 19, too and can bowl. Why didn't any team picked him in BPL?
Mominul looks good, so does marshal ayub. Marshal got less match, too.
Zia had a great season and got call. Nazmul Milon should be in radar for T20.
Did anyone notice that, 3 uncapped pacers are among top 3 wicket takers but none made in top 5 in terms of economy rate?

In my opinion the only for Anamul to make the national team is to prove himself in DPL. I dont think he has done that. Dont understand the need to put him in the T20 team also.

i think it's clear anamul's best format is FC cricket but he's such a quality talent he can play any format, he might not be consistent yet in the shorter formats but i think the best thing for his development is being in the national team facing the best in the world and there is no test cricket for BD for a long time so i don't have a problem with him being in the t20 or one-day team, i don't want him to lost his ability to play long innings though, but i do think it's best he faces top quality bowlers to help him develop further and the only way for him to do that atm is to be in the t20 and one-day sides.

Thats true. Bangladesh dont have quality pace bowlers so the best thing to do is get used to express pace at international level.

Thanks for the thread and stats Fuad

What this analysis does is gives us an insight into our Bench strength, i.e. the guys who are not too far from national team but they have more to prove in A/Academy tours. we can keep a close eye /monitor on them too...

This is 50 over cricket, so I'd suggest that the fast bowlers are bowling in the opening powerplays and at the death when the run rates are high but wickets fall. Spinners bowl in the middle overs where not many wickets fall but the run rate can drop.

That explains it well...
