Ya Razab and Zee's posts are definite FP material. Gotta agree with Razab bhai though on going for the draw, for those exact reasons stated above

>>>>FACT is it was one-day match and Bangladesh is QUITE ADEPT at one-day successful chases. Again it was not 800 runs we were chasing. By ODI context - again Test is just a label, perception is everything - AND we had the wrong perception or intent to begin with.
I used to think like that before but I am more matured now with my expectation and 48 over 250+ run on 5th day of a test match under hot and humid sun along with tired players is not really a typical one-day match for BD team......

He is conflating hypothetical with factual here. It WAS NOT a ODI match because
a) The rules of wides in a Test are way way more loose. You can bowl a foot outside leg stump and get away with it.
b) You are not obligated to keep close-in fielders. You could put as many boundary riders as you like.
c) No punishment for no-ball (Bruce bowled 4 at least) with a free hit
d) No mandatory PowerPlay
e) There were not two hard balls on two ends.
f) No limitations on the number of overs one bowler can deliver
All of these are changes made to traditional Test rules in order to make run scoring EASIER in ODIs. So what Zeeshan states as fact IS, in fact NOT

ATMR, if the wicket is flat or has a little bit more nip off it (not turn, just pace), we can win. NZ will be under pressure to make somethg/anything happen

I thought I won with the India's bludgeoning and second highest run chase unforeseen even by Razabda?

Seriously? Did you even read his point by point decimation of all futile attempts to equate an ODI run chase with a 4th innings Test chase. All things are NOT equal.

Let us take away the positive that the series is still level and we can still win the series, had we lost here going after an extremely unlikely chase then we would have been 0-1 down in the series with no chance of winning it and only being able to draw the series.

Can't believe folks are equating a 5th day and Final Session Test on an increasingly uneven pitch with an ODI chase! And, I thought only our young cricketers don't get cricket!
T20 is a very poor education, indeed.
