Do we need a Mehrab Hossain Jr Thread ???

scored a century last game. had a big partnership.

unbeaten on a double century. also an unbeaten bigger partnership is still going on.

had a run in the international scene a long ago in his teens but could not survive. for a long time he was out of the reckoning. perhaps the time is coming soon that he gets another look from selectors.

do we need a thread for him ???

Why not?

Mehrab has been a very decent performer since his U19 days. I believe he should only concentrate on the longer version. He has very good temperament and a smart cricketer. Can bowl a bit too. Mehrab needs to keep pegging away like this and if he can hold this form for one more FC season he should be considered for a Test recall. Right now Marshall has done enough to be on SL tour.

Doesn't Mehrab have a thread still? Recently we see most of the cricketers have their own thread before entering in the national team. He played international cricket both Test and ODI. But he doesn't have any thread!

So true. In international cricket million of viewers will be watching you around the world so the least you can do is look your best.

Mehrab Hossain jnr hit 6 centuries in FC matches since December 2011. The most by a Bd batsman since December 2011.

Thanks for the info. So he is showing a good form no doubt. But the main problem is as a middle order whom is he going to replace? He have played in top order in lot more occasions,in that case he will have to bat up to take up a place.

Mehrab Hossain may not look prospective but yes, he had done well to make his way into the International arena before. Unfortunately, he could not carry on. He played one or two good innings but that was pretty much it. Can't rule him out from the Test considerations if his form is considered. Will surely make it into the current benched lot.
