8. Sakib Al-Hasan
9. Rokibul Hasan
10. Rubel Hossain
11. Shafiul Hossain

Rahim and Riyad are in form, and there is every chance they will perform again. Since Shahadat is already at the crease, it is very important for those two to bat higherup the order. Rakib is a good accumulator , apparently, so would also be ok down the order. But he has not scored much so far, so him being there is not a big sacrifice...
Told u!

Shakib needs to grow as batsman in test cricket... He plays too many shots, i think he needs to come lower in the batting order.

The thing that worries me about rock is that he seemed to be hurried by the Indian pacers...

only problem is elephants are not prey for tigers.

NZ has bouncy wickets, and BD players cannot play the rising ball, so defeat is looming again.
They will have a much harder time against NZ than against India.

Really well played by Bangladesh. It always happens to any team. Huge partnership followed by a collapse. That is what pressure does. Happens to Aussies, England, SA, India everyone. Actually Tamim himself was playing too many shots yesterday. Had he mistimed even one shot you would be blaming his impatience. It is about grinding opposition to the dust. Except Rahim none of the player has the temperament for Test cricket in every match. They show patience in one match then they throw it away in the next.

Actually, there had been very few good bowler captains. Most of the good captains were batsmen. However, most of the good bowler captains were allrounders. Shakib has that going for him. But, if he continues to bat this way, he will be a specialist bowler pretty soon.

You appear to be sarcastic. However, let me put Shahadat's stats anyway. He scored 40 and lasted 100 deliveries. If the other batsmen (Shakib, Raqib, and Riyad) managed the same, India might have been in trouble.

Siddons needs to concentrate on the batsmen to stay at least 60 deliveries, regardless of how much they score.

Finally, fielding was the real culprit. If we did not gift Sachin the century, we probably would have a lead of 200, even if India did not declare. India probably would still have won, but the uneven bounce might have made it difficult for the Indian batsmen.

Fully agree. Shakib and Riyad should switch place in tests.

TBH I don't think i've even seen any of our gorvenment to come and watch the cricket. If you look at Kevin Rudd, he's everywhere the Aussie team is ( only in Australia). I've even seen manmohan singh watch cricket at the stadium! :S
I mean, I personally think it makes a difference when someone like the government comes to support their team at the stadium. ( yes?, no?)
But then again, the way our "GOLDEN" boys play, I don't think anything or anyone can inspire them
I am sorry, but the politicians from both our major parties have other priorities in life. Just look at Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. We all started from the same place from the British. Now one country is about to become a superpower, we are largely irrelevant, and Pakistan is basically a failed state. Bangladesh has been done in by the greed and lack of foresight of our politicians. India also had their share of corrupt politicians, but they still put the country ahead of their personal and party interest.

Our pacers will do better in NZ and England. But, theirs will do even better. Unless we learn to defend properly, we will struggle. If we continue to field this way, may Lord help us.
