Dear Tigers, please don't screw it up!
In Feb 2006, Ricky Ponting flat out questioned Bangladesh's Test status.
http://www.espncricinfo.com/bdeshvau...ry/237538.html
Then they came to play a Test in Fatullah with a spin attack that was on paper their greatest of all time: Shane Warne and Stuart McGill. The pace attack? Some no-names like Brett Lee and Jason Gillespie. On day one Shahriar Nafees flogged that attack for a century. Then Mohammed Rafique did his thing with Enam & Mash chipping in. We took a first innings lead! We batted meh in the 2nd innings but still we took a Test match against all-dominating Australia to the 5th day and had them on the ropes while chasing a 300+ target. Then Mash chokes and drops the catch and Ponting takes 'em home with 3 wickets to spare.
Ponting eats his words. Australian media takes notice. Even Richie Benaud is impressed. Then we let Jason Gillespie score a double 100 and everyone goes "same old Bangladesh" and we are consigned to the minnow-heap again.
Dear Tigers, we have, through a vein of sustained performance, captured the cricketing world's attention. But as the saying goes " সব ভাল যার শেষ ভাল". We HAVE to close out the series with a competitive Test draw or an outright win. Pakistan cricket team will come at us with everything they have. 5 days of gladiatorial battle awaits us and we MUST be the last one standing. Otherwise, trust me - everyone will again dismiss us. The haters are plenty. Now is the time to shut them up for good.

This Test is vital for both team. BD should not allow Paks to win. If our batsman dont gift away their wickets we should be ok InshahAllah.
On other hand Paks will be desperate for a win which is where we can catch them off guard

Multan, test against Australia, 2007 WC win against SA but loss to Ireland, 2011 win against England but loss to WI, Asia cup final... I hope finally in this series we can end this trend of giving hope only to loose it at the end..

Good post Razab...
But haters will never stop... no matter what. We were the better team in this series no matter how you slice it and what excuses you bring whether or not we win/draw the last test. But I like to end on high note and take the test series.

By the Law of Average, they are supposed to mess up this match I won't mind if we lose a competitive match here or marginally draw ..
পাকিস্তানের পিঠ দেয়াল ফুটা হয়ে ভিতরে ঢুকে গেছে, তাই ঘুরে দারানোর সম্ভাবনাও আছে।
If we have another dominating draw or win this match ... I'll be confused, if we have really improved that much? or is this Pakistan team truly rubish? or is it some gambling going in LOL
So then, have to eagerly & anxiously wait for India Series to get the answer.

Agree with Razab bhai!
Let's finish this series on a good note. Let's keep Pakistan winless even though they'll be going hard for a win. We must learn from our mistakes from the first test and do a lot better. Insha'Allah we got this!

I really hope we can draw this match (if not a win); our team rides on positives. Last year one close loss to Srilanka demoralized the whole team and we ended up loosing to Afghanistan, Hong Kong, India A team. We need to keep the momentum going from this series to the ones against India, SA and Australia..

just bat for 8 sessions in 2 innings....then result will take of itself!
Break it down to small pieces - 5 session in the 1st innings and 3 session for the 2nd.

According to your theory we will be able to save a test match only by batting 6 sessions?.....The test match is actually 15 sessions long! If we bat for 6 sessions and they bat for the rest of the sessions then how exactly we're gonna draw the match?
If they bat for 9 sessions then they are gonna win as oppose to our 6 sessions of batting!

I wholeheartedly agree. I want a sporting pitch, especially where the ball turn miles. I want a result out of this match and even if we do manage a draw we can say that we drew on a sporting wicket.

Draw is not an option in those pitches ...
What would you say, if we lose ?

Honestly, even if we lose the test this series belongs to Bangladesh. We have evolved heaps and bounds and we have already proved ourselves. I dont mean losing badly though. We still need to put up a good show but overall this series has been a gamechanger in terms of bangladesh cricket and will be a standard to lookup to for years to come

Not a good start. Win toss and bowling first because you are scared of the Pakistani seamers. And now your SRK has damaged his knee after his 2nd ball.

We elect to field first when we have only 3 frontline bowler in the playing XI? Not a good decision.

And just watch how this test becomes a game changer against us. Mushfiqur really sucks as test captain and will undone all the hard work done by Bangladesh team so far in limited overs format.
We are screwed, sometimes Hatuira really makes me wonder

Brain fart wicket for Pakistan and Waqar's hair gets just a little thinner. Did you see how Rajib's knee buckled while completing the catch. He's not going to do much with the ball in this match I fear.
